Description

Founded in 1309 by Philippe le Bel, the Royal Abbey of Moncel has the charm of a medieval monument and the grandeur of a royal establishment. The site can accommodate events of 100 to 500 people depending on the rooms. We provide the Abbey rooms so that you can organize your reception according to your wishes: choose your DJ or your music group, your florist, your drinks, etc. Only the caterer must be chosen from a list. When you hold an event at the Royal Abbey of Moncel, you have exclusivity on the premises; you do not share this day with another couple. The 6 hectare park or the courtyard with its cloister can host your cocktail. In the event of bad weather, you can, even at the last moment, decide to take an additional room for shelter. The vaulted cellars will be able to accommodate your cocktail for up to 500 people. The Philippe le Bel room can host your dinner and dance evening for up to 300 people. All guests will meet in the same room to participate in the same event. This 420 m² room is large enough that you don't have to push tables to dance. You can even decide to continue the event with a brunch the next day. Our furniture is included in the provision: round tables for 8 people, chairs and rectangular tables for the head table and buffets. At the entrance, a security guard will be stationed to monitor the site all night. Finally, the very long opening hours and the possibility of coming to make deliveries and decoration the day before will allow you to concentrate on the essentials on the big day. Our prices range from €2,500 to €5,000 depending on the day and season and include everything specified above as well as room cleaning.

Our prices range from €3,000 to €4,900 including tax for the first room, depending on the day and the season. There is added a supplement for each additional room, decreasing according to the number of rooms rented. Our prices include room rental but also: Access to the exterior (courtyard and its cloister, 6-hectare park). Site exclusivity on the wedding day. The possibility of coming and preparing the room the day before. The presence of a guard at the gate throughout the evening. Taking care of the household. Private parking that can accommodate up to 100 vehicles. The furniture (round and rectangular tables, chairs on request). The possibility of renting additional rooms at the last minute if the weather is not suitable for your outdoor projects.

We got married on 05/20/2023 at the Royal Abbey of Moncel with the theme "Cinema", what could be better than this work which saw so many cameras, actors etc. parade. We had the "Philippe le Bel" room, on the first floor (room for 300 people) when there were 45 of us, it was divided into 3 parts (1/3 for the dance floor, 1/3 for the guests and 1 /3 for children and babysitters) and even if at first glance the room is huge, once everything is installed, it is on a human scale. The guests were unanimous on the qualities of the place and although it was May, heating was not necessary. The team that manages the place listens and we were able to adjust certain points following health problems of some of the guests. Typically for Sunday brunch, we had tables available that were more easily accessible than those initially planned and an extension cord was made available to us to power my father's oxygen machine. The location has several advantages to consider: it is beautiful and steeped in history but also it is extremely practical, whether for the organization before or during the wedding. An absolutely non-exhaustive list: the cocktail room which can be rented until the last moment if it rains, the very large dinner room adapted for quality sound, cleaning of the rooms included, close to the station... The church of Pont Sainte-Maxence is beautiful, especially from the inside, and the local priest is highly recommended.The location has several advantages to consider: it is beautiful and steeped in history but also it is extremely practical, whether for the organization before or during the wedding.
