Host your wedding day at our magnificent country house. We have a beautiful collection of individually designed rooms, each accommodating a variety of spaces to entertain any style. Take our elegant property, and host a small and intimate ceremony or reception for 10 to 90 of your nearest and dearest. Set within 18 acres of enchanting gardens with a backdrop that reaches across to Wales, we can provide a splendid space for a marquee reception for up to 400 of your friends and family.xdxxsxs
Our spectacular award-winning restaurant takes our character and personality, where East meets West in decor, and blends it with a delicious display of food and fine wine. Served in the surroundings of flickering candle light with views overlooking the gardens, create a reception like no other.
Our 14 exquisite bedrooms have been installed with all the little finishing touches and luxuries that provide both relaxation and comfort to you and your guests. Make our house your home, and together, we will create those everlasting memories by planning an event that is completely personal to you both as a couple.
You can count on our friendly and experienced wedding coordinator, Simone and her ‘little black book’ of reliable suppliers who are ready to deliver your specific needs. Working with a passionate team of supportive staff, she will guide and deliver an attention to detail that will fulfil your particular requirements.

Absolutely brilliant room {LYDIA}, spacious, superb bathroom, clean and lovely views. Food very good but drinks a little expensive but to be expected when you stay at this type of hotel, will not deter us from staying again. So getting married here was an obvious 1st choice - and we were not disappointed. Sarah, Simone, Nicoleta and the rest of the team were outstanding. We wanted a relaxed intimate wedding, in beautiful surroundings, that felt more like a home than a hotel - Berwick Lodge provided that by the bucket load. The team seemed just as excited as us about our wedding day (as if they didn't actually run weddings there most weekends!). The day worked like clockwork and everything we and our guests needed had been thought of. The rooms are outrageously beautiful (we stayed in Lydia), the food was superb, and the grounds were like a National Trust Property. Loads of great places to have photos inside and out. We even had cheesy photos taken on the swing (which the kids loved!). Can think of anything else that could have improved it. Thank you Sarah and the team. We will be back. They were so accommodating in the build up to the wedding and their staff were always positive and genuinely seemed to look like they were enjoying the event. Exclusive use from Saturday 25th right through to Bank Holiday Monday. What can I say.... Simone (Event Organiser) and the whole Berwick Lodge team did an absolutely amazing job for us this weekend. The venue, the organisation, the team, the styling, the weather... we could do on... nothing could have been more perfect! Everyone who was involved from the front of house team to everyone behind the scenes, chefs, cleaners, gardeners etc couldn't have done anything more for us. Our families described it as classy, relaxed & having a feeling of it being your own home. What more could we ask for... nothing! Rooms - exceptionally stylish. We were in Lydia. What an amazing room. Breakfasts - whatever you wanted turned up perfectly Pre-Wedding day BBQ - the Sausages were very tasty, as was everything else provided, but I LOVED the sausages Wedding Breakfast meal - OMG - so much food, from the smoked duck starter, braised lamb main to the chocolate fondant... complements to the chef and kitchen staff The venue: you just have to book it. Having exclusive access for the whole weekend made it even more special. One final call our to the waiting staff and reception. How attentive, friendly and super helpful they were. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
What a question and almost impossible to answer! The best weddings are always the ones where you can feel the love in the room – some weddings are just full of so much love and emotion it’s hard not to get caught up – especially during the ceremony. This year one that stands out is Claire & Grant's wedding at the beginning of March. Their guests weren't going to let the unexpected snow stop them from coming from London and South Wales and there really was an extra special magical feeling in the air.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be daunted! There's so much help and advice available out there (mostly useful) from personal recommendations, wedding websites and forums and - probably the most valuable - your venue's wedding coordinator who knows local suppliers well and can offer suggestions to keep things running smoothly. Also, don't fret about timescales, it is possible to organise a wedding in 6 months or less too!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Kate and Ben had a very personalised wedding at Berwick. They not only had their own Kate and Ben logo that was on everything, there were many touching family and friend links. Kate wore a comb in her hair that was made from pieces of family jewellery that had been broken through the years, an anklet made by her best friends, her late Grandfather's watch held the bouquet today and parents/grandparents wedding photos took pride of place on the cake table. Their beloved pet whippet came to the ceremony (and had her silhouette printed on a souvenir tea towel) and Kate made creative origami style table centres out of old university text books that both she and Ben used to use.

Elegant Friendly Unique Relaxed Personal
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The favourite spot has to be underneath our marble pergola with rose garden walkway in the background. It's such a distinctive and romantic structure and has the backdrop of the orchard. Other popular photo spots are the tree swing, summer house, fountains and from the top of the spiral staircase looking out across Monmouthshire.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had celebrities stay as guests in the hotel but yet to have a celebrity wedding guest - watch this space!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Either the Smoked Salmon & Crispy Bagel with Spiced Avocado or Truffle Honey & Goats Cheese on Parmesan Shortbread - it's too hard to choose just one!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?

What part of your business are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the way all the staff pull together to make the atmosphere fun yet relaxed. This is reflected in the many thank yous we receive from wedding couples who return as regular guests, and sometimes become new personal friends.
