Description

Chaffeymoor Grange offers a magical and unforgettable venue for your wedding celebrations. We have no rigid formula and aim to be as flexible as possible, giving you the opportunity to create your own bespoke day. We have 2 rooms licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies. Choose from the impressive oak panelled drawing room which can hold up to 80 guests or the intimate dining room which will hold up to 40 guests. Reception drinks on the terrace overlooking the ornamental pond may be followed by a wedding breakfast for up to 45 guests in the house or up to 80 guests in a marquee on the lawns. Alternatively, an informal fork buffet or hog roast for up to 60 guests can be accommodated in the gardens and house, without the need for a marquee. Dinner may be followed by dancing to a live band or disco in the Oak Room. Please note, our licence does not allow music outside and all loud amplified music in the house must finish by midnight. We are happy to assist with all aspects of organisation from marquee hire to recommendations for florists, bands and discos. We have several approved caterers who can provide everything from a barbecue or hog roast to a formally served wedding breakfast and you are welcome to bring all your own drinks. The house and gardens are exclusively yours for the whole weekend, with the 10 bedrooms comfortably accommodating up to 20 close friends and family. Pricing is based on a 3-night weekend rental from Friday afternoon to Monday morning and includes the following: • 3 nights self catering accommodation for up to 20 adults (and 4 additional children) • Ceremony held in the Oak Room or the Dining Room (please note, in addition, the Dorset Registration Service charges a fee of approximately £400.00) • All furniture moving on the day of the wedding and furniture returned the day after • You may supply all your own alcohol and we dispose of all bottles etc • Services of a Wedding Co-ordinator on the day

Stunning VenueStunning Venue
We recently had our wedding at Chaffeymoor Grange (35 people, with 20 staying for three nights) and can't praise it enough. - The house is spacious, clean, beautiful and tastefully decorated. The Oak room is breathtaking. The kitchen is also extremely well equipped (so much so that we were able to bake our wedding cake there, the night before!) - The gardens too were wonderful, with lots of space to hang out and play a wide variety of games. - By far the biggest selling point for anyone wanting to have their wedding there is the owners. Lindsay and Rik are incredibly kind, helpful, professional, and efficient. (For example, we needed to move large amounts of furniture in and out of the Oak room on several occasions during the wedding day, and it somehow happened without our ever noticing!) Perfect Setting for our WeddingPerfect Setting for our Wedding
We held our wedding at Chaffeymoor Grange in October 2017 and it was a fantastic weekend. The house was immaculately clean, and all the rooms gorgeous and the grounds stunning. We also hired the coach house which is equally as nice. We had family of all ages there for four days/three nights and everyone of them loved it and didn't want to leave. It was a perfect setting for our wedding and the fun activities that we had planned throughout our stay. A brilliant weekend, Lindsay and Rik were extremely helpful throughout the planning ahead of the weekend and during our stay. Hopefully, we'll be back - couldn't recommend this venue more. Loved Every MinuteLoved Every Minute
The most amazing wedding weekend venue! We absolutely loved getting married at chaffeymoor grange. Lindsay and Rick were so helpful in the run up and even helped us out with playing the music for the ceremony. They were so friendly and happy to give advice and recommendations which were gladly received. Our guests loved the venue and all had beautiful rooms, it was so nice that we could spend the time before and after the wedding in this beautiful house with our nearest and dearest rather than having to rush around. We spent quality time together, cooking on the Friday night and playing pool and a brunch and walk to the pub on the Sunday. It was amazing that the whole wedding could take place in one place- saved the cost and hassle of transport. We got married in the oak room which we decorated with fairy lights, champagne and photos outside in the breathtaking grounds, dinner in the dinning room and party in the oak room/ games room. The whole house is beautifully kept, well equipped, clean, spacious and the most incredible place for an intimate wedding! We had 20 guests staying over and attending the ceremony and breakfast and a further 30 cane for the party in the evening where we set up an open bar. So pleased we could get married there, we had the best day ever and loved how flexible it was- we weren’t tied in to any particular caterers or bar or anything, we got to pick everything ourselves so it was exactly what we wanted. We have had the most wonderful stay at your beautiful house. Our wedding was magical - the kids had a ball with the games and bouncy castles and adults loved the amazing house and grounds. Everyone was Blown Away!Everyone was Blown Away!
We got married at Chaffeymoor Grange last week and we can't recommend it enough! Absolutely everything was perfect, the venue itself gets better and better everytime you see it. Our guests were absolutely blown away by it all. Lindsay and Rik were amazing throughout the whole stay, they were there if we needed them within minutes, but were never intrusive. The numerous games and activities were enjoyed by everyone. Every room is finished to a very high standard and the whole house was spotless when we arrived. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible!We got married at Chaffeymoor Grange last week and we can't recommend it enough! We chose to celebrate our wedding at Chaffeymoor Grange as we wanted to enjoy a couple of days with close friends and family in a beautiful setting. Chaffeymoor Grange was superb for this. The house and grounds are just wonderful! Every room in the house is decorated beautifully and all of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed it. Lindsay and Rik were so helpful before and during our stay and helped make everything run smoothly. One day we hope to return, it was all simply fantastic! Amazing Venue, Grounds & HostsAmazing Venue, Grounds & Hosts
We couldn't have asked for more - the setting, venue, weather and support was simply overwhelming. The fabulous hosts have the ability to silently coordinate without being seen and equally made sure that everything ran smoothly from day-break to sunset.....a truly awesome team and a property that was an absolute delight to stay in thank you!!!! As a family we booked all 10 double rooms and the Coach House, which slept a further 4, for our wedding. Both David and i have woken every morning since the wedding with the desire to do it all over again......hence we are determined to return in the next 2-3 years and find another occasion to celebrate!!!! The house itself is beautiful with gorgeous furniture, great facilities and more bathrooms /toilets than you will know what to do with. Great venue for any kind of function where you are looking for style, comfort and freedom. Hosts live in the Grounds but leave you completely alone, unless you need them to coordinate anything for you -plenty of parking onsite and the venue is surrounded by plenty of walks, pubs and things to see, do.We couldn't have asked for more - the setting, venue, weather and support was simply overwhelming. A wonderful setting for a small family wedding. All ages catered for in a relaxed informal beautiful setting. Croquet on the lawn after the wedding luncheon was great fun, plenty of places to sit, chat, catch up and enjoy the company both inside and out. The rooms are all beautifully done, our guests enjoyed the wonderfully comfortable beds and the sumptuous bathrooms. The decor has an elegant, timeless and relaxed feel. Lindsay and Rik were fantastic hosts, they were only around when needed which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the views of the area around Stourhead was the icing on the cake. Guests commented that it was the best wedding venue they had experienced and loved everything about Chaffeymoor.A wonderful setting for a small family wedding. Literally Perfect!Literally Perfect!
Fell in love with Chaffeymoor Grange from the minute we found it online. Booked a viewing straight away and it was literally perfect. Had other venues to look at but our hearts were set on CG so we went with out hearts and booked it for our wedding of 44 people. So if you are thinking about it just go ahead you will not regret it. Chaffeymoor Grange had everything we wanted and more, beautiful Oak room for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and disco! All the other rooms downstairs work so well and gave us plenty of space and options. Outdoor space is also beautiful and ample. 20 of us loved staying at CG and all our family and friends keep saying we need an excuse to book it again so we can all go back! It has been an absolute dream dealing with the owners Lindsay and Rik. They are very lovely and helpful people and made sure everything went as planned for our wedding weekend. We also got recommendations for suppliers and we used a lot of them who were also brilliant! Lindsay and Rik thank you for making our wedding so special.
