And as the only wedding venue in Croydon licensed to host outdoor ceremonies, you can also say your vows outside in a pretty pagoda in the hotel’s gardens. With direct access to the outdoor terrace, perfect for a drinks reception in the summer, the Terrace Suite is a classic suite with its sculptured ceilings and original windows with views of the grounds. The Sanderson Suite is a popular choice for brides and grooms looking for a more traditional style with a wealth of original features including gilded chandeliers and ornate windows. For larger weddings, up to 160 guests, The Cedar Suite in the mansion house is a charming suite with its sculptured ceilings, chandeliers and bay windows. Wedding breakfast and party menus will be curated by the Executive Chef and a dedicated team is on-hand throughout to deliver a day that is elegant, thoughtful and a true celebration of your relationship.

Amazing Wedding Day at SelsdonAmazing Wedding Day at Selsdon
Had an amazing wedding day at Selsdon Estate on 1 September. The venue is beautiful and we truly could not have asked for more from the wonderful staff and wedding coordinator (Hollie). The ceremony was held out in the secret garden. It was a perfect day and the setting was idiilic. We followed this up with the most amazing scenery for photographs. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Megan oversaw all the setting up and it was done to perfection. The room was beautifully laid out with all our favours and seating arrangements exactly as we wanted. The waiting team were brilliant led by Darris. Food was brought out quickly and it was piping hot and delicious. The evening turn around was quick and we had a great party. The barman (Daan) was really efficient and kept the drinks flowing all night and we danced the evening away with our friends and family and the most beautiful bride and groom. What is your venue's most unique feature?

Alan Doble Sanderson bought what is now De Vere Selsdon Estate in 1924 and transformed the mansion into a luxury country house hotel; however the estate predates this by hundreds of years. Traced back to as early as 861AD, an Anglo-Saxon hall, a medieval estate of the Knights Templar and a Victorian country seat are just some of its former lives.
