Dodmoor House is an award winning wedding venue in Northamptonshire, with gorgeous grade II listed barns as the perfect setting for your special day. The venue is exclusively yours for the day and evening, with four acres of landscaped grounds and a rustic courtyard area for you and your guests to enjoy. We are a family-run wedding venue, and place huge emphasis on giving the best levels of friendly customer service possible. Our goal is for each of our couples to feel like they are the only people in the world getting married. We welcome different ideas and love to help your dreams become a reality! Dodmoor is fully licenced to hold civil ceremonies in rustic and romantic surroundings. We can host up to 96 guests for your wedding breakfast, and up to 180 for the evening. We have been announced as the Best Barn Venue in the Hitched UK Wedding Awards and and we are a National Finalist in the Guides for Brides 2020 Customer Satisfaction Awards, British Wedding Awards and National Awards! Our past achievements include winning the Wedding Industry Awards "Wedding Event Team 2019" as well as 'Best Barn Venue' in the 2017 UK Wedding Awards where our couples praised us for our high levels of customer service and attention to detail and the National Countryside Venue in both 2013 and 2016. We are located three miles from Junction 16 on the M1, next to the Grand Union Canal, and close to Northampton, Rugby and Milton Keynes. Hi, We are Mark and Louise, who set up Dodmoor House as a wedding venue back in 2006 after a painstaking restoration of the Grade II listed barns next to our family home. We have since hosted more than 1,000 weddings and have lots of lovely wedding coordinators to help make sure that every wedding is entirely unique. Spent a wonderful afternoon and evening as a guest at a wedding here. The couple couldn't have chosen a better place. Plenty of space both inside and out and great service from the staff. An ideal wedding venue. Our daughter recently got married at Dodmoor House. We cannot praise them highly enough. The organisation skills of Carolyn are second to none and there was nothing too minor to ask. The staff were attentive and friendly and worked so hard. It is a venue that provided a service well beyond what was expected and made the day an event to remember. Thank you to all concerned. What a beautiful venue to celebrate a beautiful day.Our daughter recently got married at Dodmoor House. We cannot praise them highly enough. As a dad I need to sit down and process all that went on. I will write again once things have settled however, nothing and I mean nothing was left undone. The venue and staff were superb. We got married at Dodmoor back in June and i can honestly say we had the most perfect wedding day 💕 Dodmoor House is such a beautiful venue and the staff were fantastic every step of the way, from our very first visit right to the very end of our wedding celebrations 🎉 They really make planning a wedding so much easier! I got ready at Dodmoor with my bridesmaid and Mum, so it was really lovely seeing and hearing guests arriving (although they can't see or hear you) and it takes out the stress of traveling from a wedding venue to a reception. The venue is really lovely and intimate too which gives a wonderful feel to the day. So many of our guests commented on how you could just feel the love from everyone ❤ I really recommend looking at the drinks package and the hog roast and sweet shop although i think they have even more choice for you now too! Also there recommended suppliers list as we found this really helpful when we were first planning our wedding. Don't hesitate to book Dodmoor you'll have an amazing day and the staff are amazing!! We had the most amazing wedding last weekend at Dodmoor House, it was everything we had hoped it would be and Kathryn and the team worked so hard to make this happen. They were so on the ball with everything and quickly put into place ‘plan b’ when the unforecast rain hit us and yet everything was still so seamless....😍. We loved Dodmoor from the first moment we saw it and it didn’t disappoint in anyway. We will have such fantastic memories of our special day forever and can’t thank you enough for that. We would highly recommend anyone to get married here. We arranged a viewing and meet Carolyn on site, she is a delight! so warm welcoming and dedicated. As the wedding got closer we were invited to an in-depth planning meeting, we were greeting by three warm smiles, Kathryn, Jeni and Shona were our wedding planning team. After we went through all the details and finalised numbers I knew we had made the right choice. So many friends asked are you stressed its nearly your big day? I wasn't stressed at all! The amazing staff of Dodmoor had everything in hand! Finally our special day arrived and wow! It was amazing! everything ran smoothly furniture was moved without any disrubtion to guests, everything ran on time, all guests were happy! No one had an empty glass or was left waiting at any point. Everyone who attended the wedding commented on the amazing service provided and attention to detail. Dodmoor really is a wonderful venue! we could not of asked for more! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying on site in the beautiful bridal suite, which myself and 8 women earlier got ready in for the wedding. It was prepared for us to stay in, put back together with food platters left out for us and a wonderful card from the team, we woke to a beautiful breakfast of fresh pastries, bacon rolls, coffee and juice! The perfect start to married life! So all in all we'd highly recommend Dodmoor and all the fantastic staff! The staff especially Kathryn were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very attentive, calm and efficient. The venue looked beautiful and the staff aloud us to add our own personal touches. The bridal suite was beautiful and Kathryn made sure everything was as it should be. I would highly recommend Dodmoor House for your wedding it was the most magical day of our lives The staff especially Kathryn were absolutely fantastic. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

It's absolutely impossible to say! We've had so many weddings and each one has their own best parts! We remember having an actual ball when a mariachi band came in and played to everyone during dinner when we threw sombreros to guests from the mezzanine! A petting zoo with the cutest animals ever came and we cuddled rabbits, lambs and baby goats.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

If someone is willing to help you, take their help! It's so amazing to have people who want to contribute towards your day whether that's helping to make favours, driving your Nan to the venue or doing a reading in the ceremony. Anything that helps take a little stress away from planning really has a huge effect!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One of our favourite parts of seeing lots of weddings is seeing the personal touches our couples do to put their stamp on Dodmoor House! We love a bit of photo bunting up at the bar, it's always lovely to see pictures of our couples throughout the years they have been together.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Being next door to the Grand Union Canal is a treat, we are right next to a lovely bridge which provides such beautiful photos.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Being so close to Northampton, we've had a Saints Rugby player get married here and also a few guests from the Made in Chelsea cast!

What’s your favourite canapé?

We are partial to a little Yorkshire Pudding with beef and gravy!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Cake and biscuits - and not just at midnight! We are known for having a constant biscuit supply in the office and for having cake at our weekly meetings (and any other occasion that calls for it)!
