Healds Hall belongs exclusively to you. There will be no other wedding parties – just you, your partner and your guests. You can savour the privacy of the whole venue knowing that it’s luxurious interior and wonderful gardens are yours for the day.

Civil Ceremonies of up to 120 guests followed by a wedding breakfast & evening reception
Alternatively arrive from church for an intimate wedding breakfast in our beautiful restaurant or welcome up to 140 guests in our private banquet room which opens onto the patio and landscaped gardens

Our owners Tom & Nora have built a great family orientated reputation.
Myself and the team pride ourselves in delivering high quality service with the best local produce available to us. Alongside Phillip our General Manager, Andrew our Head Chef & the hard working team around us. We aim to deliver those personal finishing touches to make your day as special as you ever imagined it to be.

We knew the hotel was lovely, the surroundings were great for photos and the hotel staff were fantastic. We even knew the food was amazing but all our expectations were not only met but totally excelled. On the day our nerves were eased with the expert organisation from our wedding coordinator Matthew, his attention to detail was wonderful, he even noticed when the wife was hot and flustered and appeared as if from nowhere with a fan to cool her down and a friendly reassuring smile. Walking around these grounds you definitely get the feeling of an old traditional English Heritage estate, but been a family owned hotel it comes with a real warm personal touch. If you're thinking about getting married please do not hesitate to contact Healds Hall. If you want an expertly cooked delicious meal or somewhere lovely for a special night then this place is also for you. Matthew was both friendly and professional and made us both feel able to ask for what we required to make our day our own. Every member of staff were fantastic and made all of our 120 guests welcome and attended to everyone's needs as they really couldn't do enough for us. We couldn't find fault with anything, the food, accommodation, service and atmosphere was first rate. The transition from ceremony, wedding breakfast and then evening reception went so smoothly, as it was organised so well by Matthew and Ronan, that we really couldn't have asked for more. Many guests have since commented that this was the best wedding they had ever been to. Matt the events manager and Andrew the chef went above and beyond to meet our requirements. Healds Hall is much better venue than these over priced well known wedding venues throughout Yorkshire. The food was incredible and by far one of the best restaurants outside of Leeds city centre. All guests commented on how good the food was throughout the day. They easily accommodated for 1 vegetarian and 1 child. The wedding package we booked included chip and bacon butties for the evening meal, something me and my husband were not keen on. We asked if they would be able to do pizzas instead...without hesitation Andrew organised for a pizza oven to be set up in the gardens of the hotel and allowed us to create or own evening menu. The quality of the food and service of all staff members is the reason we booked the biggest day of our life to be held here. Matt was on hand for every step of the planning process and his communication was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much and I felt comfortable asking the silliest questions. Matt was a real support for me on the day too I was so nervous but Matt kept me calm and grounded - a real personal touch. Again not something you may receive at other venues. Matt is very passionate about his role and always supported our requests. His overall input was invaluable. If you are getting married, have a family event coming up or simply just want good service and a nice meal at the right price, I would strongly recommend Healds Hall Hotel.We recently got married at Healds Hall Hotel. Right from the start we knew we had made the right choice. Celebrations started the day before when I checked in, my mum booked a room, my daughter a room and cousin a room too. Check in was easy even though I had lots of wedding decorations somebody at hand to help. I stayed in the bridal room the night before our wedding and the bed was so comfy I slept fantastic. The staff on reception jo and Christine were excellent making sure I had everything I needed even extra fresh milk, so thank you Also a massive thank you to Matt our wedding coordinator he is fantastic, thorough and very organised. The food is excellent, many compliments were made regarding the quality and quantity of food, the sticky toffee pudding is the best I’ve ever had, they even sang happy birthday to me and had a candle in my pudding, such a lovely gesture. Their planning was meticulous, from the bespoke menu through to the evening celebration through to the breakfast the following day. We had previously eaten at Healds Hall and had always thoroughly enjoyed the food, but the wedding food was exceptional - and we've eaten in several Michelin starred restaurants! The food was stunningly presented and delicious. The room in which we got married was clean and incredibly well presented. The tables looked beautiful and were set exactly as we requested. The number of compliments we received regarding the venue, the gardens, the food and the general ambience were heart warming. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough for their professionalism. Even the photographer commented that this was the best venue she had ever worked at - this comment was made to a 'third-party', and as such, wasn't said to Stefania or myself as an easy, 'throwaway' comment. In sum, I cannot thank he wonderful staff at Healds Hall enough. They were wonderful - it really was a perfect day. I would recommend Healds Hall as a wedding venue wholeheartedly. We recently got married here and from early planning stages right through to the day we were given loads of support and valuable advice regarding our day. The food in the restaurant is to die for! The rooms are very comfortable and modern while retaining the feel of the architecture and age of the building. Matt and his team could not have done anything more for us our entire stay and day. He even put my shoes on for me, before the ceremony! We would highly recommend Healds Hall for an event, wedding or any kind of stay. You will be made vey welcome and the staff will give you service second to none.This venue is fabulous. From the first meeting with Matthew we were really impressed with his attention to detail, flexibility and help and support with planning our wedding. On the day everything came together perfectly. The gardens have been newly landscaped and provided a great area for guests to mingle during the day, especially as we were blessed with fantastic weather! The room looked brilliant and was beyond our expectations and the food was amazing and really well presented. The staff couldn't do enough and the service in general was first class. We have had so many comments from guests praising the venue and in particular the quality of food which shows just how good Healds Hall is. The day flowed perfectly; I got ready in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids and mum. Matt arranged for freshly made croissants and tea/coffee to be brought up to the room. The bridal suite is huge, there was me, my mum, 4 bridesmaids, a hairdresser and a make up artist in there and we didn't feel cramped at all. There is a lovely old staircase for photos which I loved. The turnaround between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast was seamless. An extra special mention for the food. The canapes and meal were stunning, I've lost count of how many people raved about the food on the day and since the wedding. I also had so many people say to me how good the bar prices were (priorities! ha). Matt acted as master of ceremony and did a fantastic job, he couldn't do enough for us. We didn't want for anything all day, so attentive and what a lovely guy. He was always friendly and on hand leading up to the wedding whenever we needed anything too. All the staff in fact, were just amazing. The grounds are gorgeous as well, we got some amazing photos. We have been back since for Sunday lunch and were met with the same high standards. I literally cannot big this place up enough. We will definitely be coming back in the future to the amazing restaurant. Only to treasure every moment in planning your day as once the final occasion has been full filled you won't have anything to do with your time but to enjoy your married life together.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A couple shared a moment during a ceremony whereby two separately engraved glass jars of sand were dyed to each of the couples favourite colours. These poured by the couple and blended into one jar with both their names engraved symbolising a bond that could never be split.
