The most memorable was in March 2013 when we experienced very heavy snowfall and the bride wanted to make the most of it, with all guest going out for photos which looked great. The snow fell so hard the cars were snowed in, so we have camp-beds everywhere, and most guests stayed the night - then the locals came and helped dig cars out the next morning...a great family atmosphere and one I will always remember so fondly.
Remember it is your day and if there is something you want to make it more special for you, ask your venue for help. If they cant help you they will have contacts who can to make it easier for you to achieve
One couple used Lego for their table plan and name places, and guests too their personalised piece home which matched their hair colour, or their favourite TV show for example.. a great idea which was well received by all and made a great talking point and memory for all guests.
