The hotel is set opposite the historic St Alphege Church in the charming village of Solihull. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, so you can enjoy your whole day here! We appreciate that every wedding is unique and personal to the couple getting married, so throughout your preparations you can enjoy the services of our dedicated wedding consultant who will ensure that you have your dream day. They will work closely with you throughout the whole planning process to offer valuable help and support. The venue is rich with history, so you can surround yourself with the romantic Tudor features of The George. You and your guests could look out over the 16th-century bowling green as you enjoy a glass of Champagne. Whether you’re planning a small, intimate event or larger, lavish occasion, the hotel has the perfect space for you. The gorgeous Courtyard Suite is a light and contemporary space which can accommodate up to 150 day guests and 200 for the evening. The grand, self-contained Presidential Suite is perfect for wedding celebrations with up to 70 day and 100 evening guests. The room has its own private bar area and two anterooms. Wedding Reception - marvellous Wedding Reception - marvellous
Our daughter and husband had their wedding reception here last week. From start to finish the hotel were excellent. The large room was well laid and presented to an exceptional standard. The master of ceremonies performed a great job, as did Laura who helped us set up a surprise dance for the bride and groom ! The meal and evening hot buffet was excellent, all staff attentive and assisted in making this day special. The evening was an absolute blast and the resident DJ can take credit too. The bride and groom chose to place the dance floor in the middle which I think helped with the overall atmosphere. A good large bar, one point I would say is that one of the lagers ran dry (our fault!) and it would’ve been better if this could have been planned for ? The room we had was very large, lots of furniture too. Very warm, just turn the thermostat down on the radiator! Great breakfast in the morning too. All in all this is a great location to host a wedding. Staff very polite, professional and keen to make your day special. Great for public transport, train station near, motorway, parking facilities. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Laura for all her patience and guidance leading up to and most importantly on the day. We would also like to say thank you to Reece for all his help during the course of the afternoon. Laura has been amazing and she made our day the best day ever, there is nothing she could do to change it everything was perfect for us.
