Our experienced team will work with you to make sure that your wedding day is every bit as fabulous as you imagine it. From the moment your guests arrive down the sweeping carriage driveway, they will be guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome. With a variety of incredible state rooms to choose from, whether it is the romantic Morning Room, formal Drawing Room, the imposing Gallery with its regency Rotunda, or the newly refurbished Orangery ballroom, Rise Hall has the perfect space for you. We have rooms to suit all sizes and types of parties, whether it's an intimate dinner for 30 in the stately dining room or a wedding banquet for 250 in the Orangery,, and we have acres of space for a marquee if you need more room! Rise Hall is not a hotel, nor a museum- it is a family home, and you can treat it as yours for the duration of your stay. Explore our 31 individual bedrooms, each with their own quirky features, or stroll the grounds with its firepit, lake and and feature swing. Put your feet up in front of the fire in the library, with 6000 books to choose from. Or relax with a pint in our very own pub! Relaxed luxury is what we are all about. Catering and Event Management is provided by the award-winning team at Dine, and they can help arrange every detail of your day for you too- whether it’s wedding cars, DJ, photographers or flowers, no request is too small or too outlandish! We had an amazing wedding at Howsham Hall in October 2019. It's an incredible venue - the biggest bridal suite in the world (surely!!!), beautiful house and the most wonderful food and service from the Dine team. Craig is great and he leads an excellent team - all of whom were extremely professional and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for the Dine team - they really take care to keep Howsham Hall looking absolutely stunning, and we had so many great comments about the food - portions are big and the quality is superb! My new Husband and I couldn’t recommend Rise Hall more highly, the house is beautiful and the grounds are stunning but what really makes it special is how wonderful all of the Rise team are! They make you so welcome it’s like being at home for the weekend. We had the most wonderful wedding as did all of our guests. Many commented on the venue and about how fantastic the team at Rise are. My new Husband and I couldn’t recommend Rise Hall more highly, the house is beautiful and the grounds are stunning but what really makes it special is how wonderful all of the Rise team are! They make you so welcome it’s like being at home for the weekend. We had the most wonderful wedding as did all of our guests. Many commented on the venue and about how fantastic the team at Rise are.

A phenomenal experience from beginning to end. The Rise Hall team had an exceptionally professional yet personal and caring approach to make my wedding the dream day I had always hoped for. The team went out of their way to make everything we asked for happen, and always with a smile. Our family members and friends were blown away by this magnificent venue, which uniquely combines a sense of grandeur with such a personal and friendly touch. Rise Hall truly was our home for the weekend - first class in EVERY way!A phenomenal experience from beginning to end. We had an amazing day, it was organised and run by professionals offering excellent food, service and all our needs were accommodated (even the very last minute ones) and our expectations exceeded! Both my wife and I had a wonderful day and all our guest have commented on what an amazing time they had and how the food was excellent and the service superb. Rise Hall is a wonderful venue and Dine certainly did it justice to make our special day truly unforgettable! There really isn't a better, more perfect venue than Rise Hall. You can make with it whatever you wish. It has an incredible setting, amazing rooms to choose where to get married, a fabulous reception room, superb, beautiful bedrooms and most of all.... a team of people who are genuinely kind and deliver a first class service throughout the planning process and until the moment you leave.There really isn't a better, more perfect venue than Rise Hall. Even though my Husband and I arranged our wedding from abroad, everything was perfectly arranged the team. Communication was fantastic during the run up to the wedding and any questions or concerns we had were always answered thoroughly. On the wedding day, the staff knew exactly what was happening and made sure everything was running smoothly so that we could all enjoy the day without needing to worry about a thing. We were welcomed at Rise Hall as though we were old friends.Even though my Husband and I arranged our wedding from abroad, everything was perfectly arranged the team. So hard to pick the best as they are all so different! We've had couples arriving by helicopter, the winter bride who matched her red wellies to her bouquet, and the festival-themed wedding!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

There are significant savings to be made if you decide to get married out of the peak season. Autumn and Spring weddings can be just as beautiful as a summer wedding, at a fraction of the price (and you are not holding out for a sunny day which isn't always a guarantee!)

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One December wedding gave each person a Christmas bauble with their name on as their placecard, which was really special

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are so many- the grand staircase for that Hollywood style entrance; the West front with its dramatic portico, the morning room with its romantic drapery, the Library with its 6000 books....

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Of course, but we don't name names! We've worked with lots of celebrities and members of the Royal Family.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Tempura prawns, a classic but done properly they are amazing.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

I think you can't beat a hot sandwich after a hard night's partying! Or maybe cheese and biscuits to have with the late night port and brandy in front of the Library fire.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

It's not really a feature as such but everyone who visits comments on how Rise Hall feels so warm and friendly. It's grand, but absolutely not pretentious. You can kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. Someone said 'Rise Hall hugs you' which I think is lovely!

What part of your business are you most proud of?

I love that so many people love Rise Hall so much, and I love showing them around and telling them all about the history.
