At the heart of the park lie the picturesque remains of Rufford Abbey founded in the 12th Century, around the Abbey lie park land, woodland, formal gardens and a lake. The Talbot Suite, on the first floor of Rufford Sawmill, provides a stylish venue for civil weddings or partnership ceremony. This listed building has a historic exterior but a fresh and contemporary interior. The Talbot Suite can comfortably seat 150 guests theatre-style or 80 guests banquet-style. With stunning views across the lake, natural surroundings and a relaxed rural atmosphere, Rufford Mill provides an enchanting backdrop to your wedding. SPECIAL OFFER!! The perfect wedding venue! Wouldn't change a thing! The perfect wedding venue! Wouldn't change a thing!
Our wedding was in October 2016, at Rufford Mill. From start to finish, Yvonne and her team were amazing. They were so easy to work with, extremely helpful and really put us a ease both before and on the day! The day of our wedding was amazing, the venue was beautiful and the day ran so smoothly thanks to Yvonne. It was such good value for money and all our guests commented on what a fantastic day it was. We loved every second of it and would not change a single thing! Our wedding was in October 2016, at Rufford Mill. From start to finish, Yvonne and her team were amazing. They were so easy to work with, extremely helpful and really put us a ease both before and on the day! The day of our wedding was amazing, the venue was beautiful and the day ran so smoothly thanks to Yvonne. It was such good value for money and all our guests commented on what a fantastic day it was. We loved every second of it and would not change a single thing!

Such a fantastic venue! We had a ceremony’s and reception here and the staff did an amazingly job at turning the venue into our dream wedding! The food was amazing and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! Such a fantastic venue! To Michelle, Lorraine, Joanne and all the incredible staff at Rufford Mill. Where do we even start? How can we start to say thank you for the best day of our lives? We are both still on cloud 10 about what an incredible day we had. It was perfect from start to finish, we have had so many messages from friends and family telling us what an amazing time they had, and how beautiful the food and venue was. You all worked so hard to make sure that we didn't ask for anything, and that all our dreams for our big day came true. We are so thankful that we chose Rufford Mill to get married at, I doubt so much that anywhere else could have made the memories that we did with you guys. It's so nice to know that our decorations and bits and bobs that we collected over our engagement will be used to make other couples happy. Thank you again, here are some photo's that our friends and family took. We'll send some profesh ones over when they arrive! We had a fantastic wedding day at the mill at Rufford. The day just flowed perfectly with no awkward gaps. The team running it were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Everybody commented how nice the food was and I would especially recommend the cake platters where there’s something for everyone.We had a fantastic wedding day at the mill at Rufford. We had our wedding here on 26/07/18 and wasn’t disappointed. Michelle and Joanne are wonderful, bubbly women that turned our dream day into a fairy-tale. They couldn't do enough for us and worked so hard. The food was amazing, every guest commented on how nice the food was and how well the venue was decorated. If you are looking for a venue, this has to be your place. You even get to take your pictures at the Rufford castle. The decorations and entertainment supplies were provided by Bliss which is another company that work closely with the Rufford team. We highly recommend these too as they were fabulous at entertaining our guests with the Magic Mirror, Candy Floss Machine and Popcorn machine. They also provided the table covers, sashes, chair covers and starlight backdrop. Just in case your wedding day is 28+ degrees like ours was, there's nothing to worry about as this venue has air conditioning and it really was a life saver. Thank you Rufford team for making our day so special and thank you Bliss for doing a great job at entertaining our guests. Our wedding at Rufford Abbey Mill was absolutely amazing and truly perfect from start to finish. Michelle and her team helped to make our ideas come to life in the most beautiful way; from the very first meeting we felt confident that this was the venue for us. We were able to create the wedding of our dreams in a truly stunning venue with lovely surroundings perfect for photos and all at such a reasonable price. Being able to take photos at the Abbey was also a huge bonus. All of our guests commented on how wonderful the day was, how phenomenal the venue was inside and out and how friendly and helpful the staff at the Mill were. The food was delicious from the canopies right through to the evening buffet, the venue looked exquisite and elegant for every part of the day and everyone had a fantastic, fun and memorable time. Michelle was a star throughout the whole wedding planning process, she was easy to contact, always responded quickly and spent lots of her time with us to listen to our ideas. We were able to put our own stamp on the room with our own decor as well as have the option to use some of the venues decor for finishing touches to some of our displays. On the day both Michelle and her team could not do enough for us to ensure we had a smooth running, stress free and magical day; we will treasure the memories forever. Thank you so much to Joanne and the team for making our day so special ! Nothing was too much from organising a tasting at the Saville restaurant to making sure our Lab Callie was well looked after . The Venue was beautiful and everyone raved about the food ! There are very few venues that have a lake , an abbey , beautiful gardens and a blank canvas and we are so glad to have found it . Planning our wedding was a dream, the team couldn’t do enough to accommodate our every need. The venue was beautiful, the food even better and the hospitality was just 10/10!
