Selden Barns, at Old Selden Farm, is set within over 50 acres of the South Downs National Park; the idyllic rural retreat for your wedding day. This exclusive-use venue features beautiful, characterful barns, with Old Selden Farmhouse at the venues heart, and beautifully kept lawns and terrace overlooking open farmland and forests. Selden Barns also benefits from nine Guest Bedrooms, accommodating up to 22 of your wedding guests, including the ‘just married’ couple in the Newlywed Suite. Breakfast is cooked to order and served in the Farmhouse kitchen. Wedding ceremonies are licensed for up to 100 guests in our stunning Ceremony Barn; a converted barn adjoining the Farmhouse with original oak beams, fireplace and exposed brickwork. To add a little extra sparkle, fairy lights entwine the beams overhead whilst you make your wedding vows. Enjoy pre-reception drinks and canapes on one of our lawns within the walled gardens, or terraces adjoining the Grand Barn; the location for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. With capacity to seat up to 200 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 250 for your evening reception, this versatile, flexible wedding space is second to none. With beautiful ivory pleated drapes, swags and tails, vintage chandeliers and a fairy light canopy, you and your guests will enjoy grandeur during your wedding day. For your evening wedding reception, party the night away on our raised, chequered dancefloor with provision for a DJ or band and the bar located just a ‘boogie’ away! And for those warm, summer nights, step off the dancefloor and on to the splendid terrace and lawns to enjoy your favourite drink and look up at the stars. Your venue hire package includes tables, chairs, fully stocked bar and staff, wedding décor items such as table centre pieces, gift and cake tables, post box for cards, easel for your table plan, as well as ample parking. An amazing experienceAn amazing experience
We got married at Selden Barns in August 2019. However, we had been planning our wedding with Rachel and the team since 2017. At beginning of 2018 we found out we were pregnant and asked Rachel if we could postpone our wedding. She replied almost immediately and said it was no problem at all. We agreed a new date and started planning with Rachel and Elaine at end of 2018 once our baby was here. The communication with the team and us was amazing. Any questions or concerns we had were answered straight away. Once we agreed/changed anything, we got an updated email with our new plans on. We had agreed on site planning meetings which were really successful and were always told we could visit the venue anytime we wanted. The team are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Not just the planning team, the bar staff, groundstaff, cook, everyone! We had an amazing experience at Selden Barns and the venue was just perfect. We will be recommending the venue to anyone who is thinking about getting married or having a celebration in the future.We got married at Selden Barns in August 2019. Selden Barns were absolutely incredible to work with since day one of booking our Wedding day with them. They responded very quickly to any queries we had. We had Elaine as our Wedding Coordinator and she was utterly amazing and a complete asset to Selden Barns. Our Wedding day came and was everything we could have wished for. The whole day ran so smoothly and this was down to the Selden Barns Staff. The time keeping for the whole day was flawless. We will be recommending you guys to everyone we know and we will certainly be back to the venue for our 1st Anniversary to use the B&B. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience of Selden Barns, having got married there last month. Rachel, Chloe and all the other staff were so helpful and knowledgeable in the planning stages and they helped us to have the most perfect day. The location is simply stunning, with picture opportunities everywhere you look. We got married here Saturday. We’ve had the most amazing time. The venue is stunning, the staff are on point consistently to keep the day running on time and smoothly. Friendly and efficient too. The best part is that you can stay the night here in the beautiful honeymoon suite so you can relax and remember things from the day before within the stunning countryside. We loved our wedding day at Selden Barns- Rachel made us feel so welcome and relaxed at the venue. The venue itself was great for us as it gave us opportunity to put our own personality in an already beautiful setting! Also we loved the outdoor photos in the nearby fields, and having the stunning views right outside. A great all rounder venue that are experts at running weddings! We loved our wedding day at Selden Barns- Rachel made us feel so welcome and relaxed at the venue. The venue itself was great for us as it gave us opportunity to put our own personality in an already beautiful setting!
