Description

Shoreditch Studios is a unique warehouse wedding venue and photographic studio located in London's vibrant street art district. The 3,500 sq ft railway arch space consists of two spacious high ceiling studios connected by a jack arch. Venue features include exposed bricks throughout, open trussing, white infinity coves and a mezzanine which overlooks the main space in Studio 1. The venue also includes PA's in both studios, air conditioning, a small kitchenette, green room facilities, ample bathrooms and an outdoor courtyard. It's the perfect location for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Choice of preferred caterers

Shoreditch Studios venue dry hire from £7200 (inclusive of VAT) for any available sate (higher rates for public holidays and NYE). Venue hire includes exclusive use of the whole venue from 9am until midnight (late extensions available for an additional fee) and courtyard access for guests until 8pm. An average wedding in the venue costs between £25,000 and £30,000 (inclusive of VAT) - Based on a ceremony for 150 guests, a 3 course seated wedding breakfast for 150 guests and a reception party for 150-200 guests with a stocked bar, DJ and late extension until 2am. We are happy to take the time to sit down and discuss your wedding plans and budget and connect you with a range of suppliers who can provide you with no-obligation quotes for anything you need for your wedding day including furniture, lighting, catering, bar or DJ hire rates. You are also welcome to shop around for a catering supplier, BYO bar stock or dress the venue as you wish. Shoreditch Studios is a flexible and accommodating venue, ready to be transformed for you and your partner's unique wedding day. "We wanted to have a non-traditional wedding and loved the vaulted studios, exposed brickwork and steel trusses at Shoreditch Studios. The Victorian feel courtyard is surrounded by the city’s skyscrapers. We’d researched venues across the country because the type of building was important, rather than the actual location. It needed to be a blank canvas and have elements of the industrial; we also needed a dry hire to enable us to realise all of our ideas. Initially, we thought we couldn’t afford London and were also put off by the number of venues who put restrictions on caterers, wine lists and the time we could be there. One venue (who shall remain nameless) wanted to charge ten thousand pounds just to allow us in the door between 1pm and 11pm – including set up and strike – before even discussing food, drink, staffing, lighting and sound. Eventually, again largely thanks to Rock My Wedding, we discovered Shoreditch Studios. Crucially, Shoreditch Studios has two rooms. This meant that our guests would be in one for the ceremony, then the other for pre-meal drinks, back through for dinner and then back out again for the evening festivities. We loved the idea of having the opportunity to surprise our guests not once, but several times! We ignored everyone’s advice and didn’t physically look anywhere else. We knew Shoreditch Studios fitted the bill perfectly. Andrew and his team were brilliant and always on hand to help and answer questions and there were loads of those! Weddings can be quite overwhelming and the devil is in the finer details. We were firing over a lot of questions, often questions we had already asked and the venue team remained patient with us which, under the stress of an impending wedding, was welcome. We were so pleased when we found Shoreditch Studios for our wedding. We wanted to find a dry hire venue that allowed us to bring in our own suppliers and to get creative. The exposed brick, arches and white walls all provided the perfect blank canvas and the two studios gave us the flexibility we needed without having to interrupt the day by ‘turning over’ the rooms. It was a bonus that the studios are regularly used for events, meaning that their team managed the process with ease and were very accommodating with our often strange requests and with all our suppliers. We had the most amazing day, thank you!We were so pleased when we found Shoreditch Studios for our wedding. We wanted to find a dry hire venue that allowed us to bring in our own suppliers and to get creative. "After looking at many unsuitable wedding venues, Shoreditch Studios felt like our saviour. It ticked all boxes. We loved the urban / industrial type feel, combined with its location and having outside space. The fact that it is licensed for ceremonies was a massive lure for us as we are non religious but didn't really like the old fashioned registry office look. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Candles hanging from the exposed lighting truss is always nice. Once we had a long yellow carpet running along the courtyard to the entrance for a wedding. I wasn't sure about the colour at first but it looked great in the photos.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

The venue is used daily as one of London's leading photographic studios so there are many great photo spots in the venue. Both Studios have stunning Victorian brickwork throughout and white coves which are perfect for bright and vibrant wedding photos of the head table. There's are also many local Shoreditch sites and graffiti pieces outside the door where many couples have photos taken.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Shoreditch Studios is also one of London's leading photographic studios so we have celebrities and models in the space daily.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Cake and a glass of champagne please.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The mezzanine lounge is a great feature. It offers a birds-eye view over the main space. Its a great place to take photos from too.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

We have a great team at Shoreditch London. We often get positive feedback from wedding clients about how calm, friendly and accommodating our event managers are.
