The Hub

Registered for marriage and Civil Ceremonies couples can now enjoy one seamless day. Our building, The Hub, has been open since 2010. We pride ourselves on being a unique and friendly space for people to plan their events. Our building is modern, light and open plan meaning it can be used for a wide variety of events and lends itself well to customer's diverse styles. The actual Hub building houses a dance studio, drama/events hall, main communal atrium, Kitchen and bistro area, small lakeside room, hair and beauty salon, music studios, workshop and accommodation for up to 33 people. Our outdoor space includes a fishing and canoeing lake, a nature lake, skate park, community garden, outdoor staging area and picnic tables with pizza ovens and BBQs. We can host up to 500 people across the whole site. Couples can hire the whole site exclusively or book specific spaces depending on your needs. The interior of the building is a blank canvas and we welcome couples who wish to style the spaces to their own tastes. We are a community business and our commercial income is used to support community activities such as music lessons for local young people, community transport and room hire for dance and fitness classes. Couples who book their event with us will know that they are investing in the community and giving something positive to the charity we run. We can offer full catering that can include three course meals, tapas, canapes, indian and Italian buffets, BBQs and wood fired pizzas. We can also provide a wide range of hot and cold buffets and snacks. Our menus and rustic and down to earth and we aim to use as much locally produced ingredients as possible, sometimes even from our own gardens. We are happy to work with outside caterers and hire out our kitchen space. We can also provide a full bar and work with local brewers and distillers. We are a small team and get to know each of our couples well resulting in a truly personal experience.
