Your wedding day should be perfect, and here at The Hundred House we recognise this is one of the most important days of your life. We will do everything possible to make sure your day is flawless and that you and your guests enjoy every moment of your special day. Fifteen years ago we created the perfect wedding venue when we renovated our beautiful 17th Century Tithe Barn. As soon as you step through the door you will feel it’s warm atmosphere created by original exposed beams, tiered galleries and a bespoke sculpted central chandelier. The barn possesses an intimacy and charm that is unique and certain to enhance your wedding day.
With our beautiful award winning ‘Enchanted Gardens’ - perfect for your wedding photos, teamed with excellent food, a beautiful oak beamed barn and first class service the Hundred House will give you the perfect day to remember. The Hundred House Hotel is a family run business and has been in the Phillips family for over 30 years, which gives us the flexibility to tailor our weddings around you, after all every wedding is unique so why shouldnt you create your perfect wedding Day with us.
Our restaurant has held 2 rosettes for the last 20 years, making the Hotel and Restaurant a firm favourite within the area. We absolutely pride ourselves on our warm hospitality, attention to detail and friendly yet professional service. We offer a tailor made service to fit your individual requirements and a dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator to guide you through and make the whole process as stress free as possible!
We have 9 very unique bedrooms (some equipped with our famous swings!) for your guests to enjoy. Each room is beautifully furnished with antique furniture, charming chandliers and newly refurbished bathrooms. Give your guests, not only a day to remember, but a night to remember too!

- MMr and Mrs Shackleton06/01/2020Just wowJust wowWhat can I say that hasn't been said a million times already. This beautiful place is loved by so many people for so many reasons. Me and my husband got married here after visiting a wedding fayre and instantly falling in love with the venue and staff. The staff could not do more for us and very knowledgeable and helpful. We soon came back for a meal and knew it was the only place we wanted to get married. The atmosphere was just breathe taking. I felt like a queen for a day I dont think the smile came off my face all day. All of our Friends and Family loved the Hundred House too. The venue is stunning and quirky which is very us. The gardens couldn't give a better setting for photos to be taken. The staff were just amazing. I cant put into words just how amazing. We were looked after by our wedding planner from the day we first looked around until after the wedding. I’m the bride and stayed at the Hundred House the night before my wedding, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, I was made to feel like a princess! On the day every little, important detail was managed perfectly. Our guests had a fantastic time and everyone loved the food! Our wedding was perfect, it exceeded all my expectations. We were looked after by our wedding planner from the day we first looked around until after the wedding. It is the most beautiful place, visually it was just what we were looking for in a venue. The barn was decorated exactly how we wanted with every last detail perfect. The starlit ceiling with it's big high beams is breathtaking. The gardens are immaculately maintained with loads of fun quirky features for guests to explore. The inside of the bar is also really quirky - even the toilets were a talking point! And our bedrooms were so comfortable and cozy with a really unique, vintage look. Everyone loved the bedroom swings! The food is delicious. We have ate here many times before and it is always amazing (it's the main reason we chose this venue!), but our wedding food was especially good. For breakfast in the morning the staff went out of their way to get a special request for me and even bought it up to my room. Then the canapes were incredible, I could have eaten a whole plate of the black pudding and chorizo stacks (actually, I did!). They even provided a special plate of kids canapes and vegan canapes. The main meal was bought out swiftly, with teams of servers ensuring everyone on the table had their plate at the same time, no one was left waiting. Every course was delicious, I was disappointed that I couldn't fit it all in with my dress! All of our particular requests were catered for, from dietary requirements to just fussy eaters. Later in the day icecream was served in the garden, which was beautiful and our guests loved. I am told that the evening hog roast was also very tasty, though I didn't get to eat any myself! All of the staff at Hundred House went to every effort to make our day perfect. Gemma was so helpful throughout the planning stages, meeting with us regularly to go over all the tiny details, answering all our silly questions and always being so patient and understanding. On the day Jake ensured everything ran smoothly and was always on hand if we needed anything. There were so many other members of the team that helped with everything on the day, from the lady that found us umbrellas so that we didn't get wet to the guys that stayed late to have a drink and a drunken chat with us in the early hours! I can't thank them all enough! So many working behind the scenes too - kitchen and bar staff, waiters/waitresses, housekeeping, gardeners...every tiny attention to detail! You all made us feel like our wedding was the only wedding that you were planning this year, it is incredible that you pull that off several times a week! Gemma is absolutely amazing and is so organised and make sure your day goes smoothly - nothing is too much trouble for her. The food is incredible! Our guests still talk about it now. The waiting staff are wonderful and were so lovely to our guests and so efficient. We had the best day ever at the Hundred House Hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a magical venue for their special day! xWe got married here in February 2018 and it was such a perfect day. Literally we couldn't fault a moment in the day and it was run with smooth efficiency with a smile from all of the staff. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have fun! At the time it may seem like you have 'To-do' lists as long as your arm, table plans coming out of your ears and your 'husband to be' may be nodding rather than answering but once all that planning has gone we promise you'll miss it! Remind yourselves every day why it is that you are doing this and savour every moment, every trip to your venue, every cake sample day and every dress fitting/try on experience!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One wedding we had here spent the 2 years of wedding planning trawling through Charity shops to find the perfect book for each guest to give as a favour - it was very personal and moving as they'd spent so much time searching for something that represented that particular guest!
We have also had a gardening loving couple coming up who have a guest book bench for people to sign that they can then get varnished and put in the garden to use - definitely can't be hidden in the cupboard!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Oh that's a tough one - We have so many! Our quirky swings in Henry's Folly, our flower covered Lovers Water, The Pond Area at the back of the Enchanted Garden or around the raised beds of The Herb Garden - we love them all!

What is your venue's most unique feature?
Probably the swings in the bedrooms! 7 of the 9 rooms have ornate swings in- which our guests love!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Theres two things - Firstly Winning the regional Award of Best Town/City Wedding Venue in the Wedding Industry Awards 2018 & 2019 and then the Team!
Our team is a really mixture of ages, personalities and characters! From the housekeeping staff that have been with us from the start. to the chefs who again have been with us around 0 years each, the managers, the restaurant and wedding staff, the maintenance staff and the partners- we really are one big family.
