I've been to the Nottinghamshire as both a guest and a wedding cake maker, so I feel I can give a rounded opinion about this venue. You really feel that you have 'Arrived' as you make your way through their stunning grounds, and the function room doesn't disappoint either. Food and service is perfect, and they always offer a warm welcome when I take a cake there.I've been to the Nottinghamshire as both a guest and a wedding cake maker, so I feel I can give a rounded opinion about this venue. We just wanted to say "Thank You" to Katie and the rest of The Nottinghamshire team for providing the most amazing service and making our day truly magical. From the initial walk around the venue we received top quality service from the team. They provided us with all the information we could possibly want and gave us several different options to go away with to help us make our decision about our special day. As soon as we left we knew no other venue would compare and had to have our Wedding Reception at The Nottinghamshire. Katie was amazing helping us plan and co-ordinate the day, nothing was too big and she was always on hand to offer support for the day. We had several meetings in the run up to the day where we went through every detail to ensure everything would go to plan and a lovely evening menu tasting to decide what food we would serve our guests (it was a hard choice as it all tasted so good!). Katie and the team set up the room on the morning of and when we arrived at the venue everything looked perfect, it made us feel so at ease knowing they were taking care of everything. Our day was amazing and we can't believe its over but half of it wouldn't have even been possible without the team so thank you so much for everything. What can we say about The Nottinghamshire and Claire....... AMAZING!!!!! From the moment we drove through the grounds and walked into The Nottinghamshire and met Claire we knew this is the place we wanted our special place to be. Claire looked after us from the 1st moment we met her, nothing was never to much trouble for her, if we rang and said are you free for a chat she would always make time for us. She took all the stress and worry away. The actually day was just magical waking up in one of the beautiful rooms to looking out on the beautiful grounds. Seeing Claire and Katie's happy faces when they came to moves us to the bridal suite, they did not rush us and let us take our time, they put us at ease. The bridesmaid loved their ride on the golf buggy.... so thank you Katie .. Jo from Iced & Sliced was lovely she had so many ideas and choices of sash's, we actually got an exact match of sash to our bridesmaid dresses. Also a couple of days before the wedding I panicked as I thought the tables would look bare with just my centre pieces so we called her to see if she could provide some candles, within a few hours she had sent us some pictures of the items she could provide. The tables looked stunning... The choice of menus were outstanding so much choice and when we said we had two vegetarians it was not a problem, the food was delicious and the chocolate brownie is to die for...... Jason the resident DJ was fantastic, it was so easy and simply to chose our playlist, we also asked him if he could sort out our ceremony music which he kindly did for us, he also suggested the cloud for our 1st dance, and we are so glad we had it as it was amazing and it truly was like floating on cloud 9.... All the staff at The Nottinghamshire were friendly and welcoming and again nothing was too much trouble. All our guests have told us that they had an amazing day, and the venue was stunning, they asked us if we could do it again, if we could we would do it all again tomorrow and we would not change a thing, 5 months on and still our guests are talking about it.... We first came across The Nottinghamshire by attending a Wedding Fair there with no intention of exploring the possibility of having our wedding here. We were immediately attracted to the beautiful setting and the privacy and intimacy of the Fairways Suite and on speaking with the Events Team who came across as very experienced in weddings we decided to have our wedding here. From an initial enquiry through to the big day Claire and her team consistently delivered a great service. Claire was always such a pleasure to deal with, she was at all times professional, responsive, helpful and supportive and was keen to ensure the process was stress free. We can’t thank Claire and the team enough for all that they did in making our special day such a memorable one. From the first time we visited the Nottinghamshire, we felt at home there. Booking our wedding, arranging all the suppliers and going through the fine details was all made easier by the wonderful Claire. She reassured us every step of the way and made sure we felt happy with every decision we made. Not only was Claire there every step of the way leading up the wedding, she visited me and my bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding to make sure we were all okay and I was feeling ready for the day ahead. Some last minute rain meant my journey to the ceremony on the golf buggy changed and Katie was very calm in dealing with this. Claire was also there all day until late at night. She was very flexible and accommodating. Leading up to the wedding, my 91-year-old Grandpa had felt that staying for the whole day would be too big an ask and he would feel most confident attending just the ceremony and appearing in a few photos. However, on the day, he enjoyed himself so much that he asked if he could stay for the wedding breakfast. This was no trouble for Claire and her team, who swiftly arranged an extra place and meal for my grandpa with no fuss at all. This meant my grandpa could be part of the whole day. The outside surroundings and the inside of the venue are both so lovely at the Nottinghamshire. We had so many compliments from our guests who all had a great time at our wedding. From the moment we visited the Nottinghamshire we knew we wanted out wedding there, the scenes and beautiful room captured us straight away and the wedding team were so helpful and friendly. We were so lucky to have Claire as our wedding co-ordinator; she was so enthusiastic and was just as excited about our wedding day as we were. We didn’t expect a wedding co-ordinator when we booked so it was the best bonus. We had regular meetings with her during all the preparations and she was so accommodating and gave us advice on any areas we were struggling with. The service she gave was so personalised and she tailored all the help to us and our day. She put no pressure on us but brought out the best in all of our ideas. She was perfect the day before and of the wedding in keeping the bride calm! and in ensuring everything ran smoothly. We had such a relaxing day as we knew it was all taken care of. It all flowed so well and to time. The menu choices were so varied making it hard to choose. All our guests complimented on how tasty the food was and how good the portions were and it was all so beautifully presented. The Nottinghamshire’s resident DJ Jason was amazing and so obliging to our music requests- he created an afternoon and evening of dancing that reflected both of our cultures and also that meant the dance floor was never empty. The venue itself is stunning with so many great photo opportunities like the archway and fountain, which we managed to use even despite the rain! Claire and the Nottinghamshire helped create a wedding beyond what we dreamed was possible and we can’t thank them enough. Our most magical day. After getting engaged in July 2014, we jumped straight into wedding planning and visited The Nottinghamshire in August 2014. We fell in love with the venue and no other came close. The teamhave been amazing from beginning to the end. We had a few meetings throughout the out 2 year engagement and everything went perfectly on the day. Wedding planning was never stressful as you always had the support of Claire and the rest of the staff. We couldn't fault them and guest were so happy with our venue choice. All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much. After looking at a number of stately homes and upmarket country houses we were unable to find a venue that met all of our needs. From the moment we walked into The Nottinghamshire to the moment we left the morning after our marriage we couldn't have asked for more. Our wedding planner Claire was amazing throughout and was on hand to help with everything, Claire's determination and commitment to our day was unparalleled and she was one of the main reasons the wedding went as swimmingly well as it did. In terms of the venue itself the staff were always polite and very helpful. They were also so friendly with our guests and interacted which made a massive difference.
