Simply perfect!Simply perfect!
What a perfect day we had here! We wouldn't change a single thing about it for the world (except maybe a bit less rain!). Thank you to everyone who made it special, but particularly Emma, who made sure everything went smoothly and even sorted out a dinner playlist for us "on the fly" when we realised we forgot to arrange one. Dandice's Perfect WeddingDandice's Perfect Wedding
From planning our big day, to the morning after, we were very well looked after by the Old Vicarage venue and staff. The moment we first visited the venue, we knew that it was where we would be getting married. The beautiful country house set amongst stunning grounds, rooms on site and with great transport links directly from London and the South Coast, it ticked all of our boxes. Having a young baby (3 months old at the time) as well as another (6 weeks old) in attendance, the staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. There was a technical hitch with the aisle music with myself (the groom) fully at fault, the Old Vicarage team were able to step in and provide the songs that we had chosen and play them through their Sonos. No matter how much you plan, you can never account for the weather and unfortunately, the 15 minutes of rain that day happened just before my beautiful bride was due to come down the aisle. The staff quickly and efficiently managed to move all of our guests inside where the room was perfectly decorated and set up, leaving my beautiful bride to be with no idea of the hiccup (thankfully for me). The wedding breakfast was fantastic with the many dietary requirements all catered for including vegans. Don't let the name Chicken Pie fool you, it's a beautiful, elegant and delicious dish. The soup starter and eton mess to follow were also incredible. Having the rooms upstairs meant that we and our friends with young babies were able to head up to get our little ones to sleep whilst our guests enjoyed the copious amount of food provided in the evening and great music by their DJ, Jason. Even my mum who has had recent health problems was on the dance floor until 11:30! The following morning, breakfast was served for all of us in the 6 rooms and was just what we needed to reminisce and recover from the night before. I would like to say a huge Thank You to all involved in making our special day so perfect. I cannot praise or recommend The Old Vicarage more as the perfect venue for your intimate or large, indoor or outdoor wedding.
