What is your most memorable wedding?

Lucy and Chris's gorgeous festival wedding. A young couple so in love and such a unique wedding. The gorgeous location was turned into a stunning festival wedding with tents, a beautifully decorated marquee and wonderful homemade decor, including candle holders made from copper pipe! The whole day was relaxed, fun and thoroughly enjoyable. All the little touches were as important as the bigger things and with the speeches delivered outside with the guests on picnic blankets it made everything feel so relaxed and different.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Honest, natural, unfussy, real and creative.

What about your business are you most proud of?

My 5* reviews. I know that I work hard, but knowing that the couples notice this and appreciate it makes me love this job more and more everyday.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Do what you want! It's your wedding day at the end of the day so every detail should be exactly what you want. Don't worry about other people. It's your love story!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A 'Guest Book Wall' built by the groom to go into their summer house in the garden. All of their guests are now a permanent part of their home.

I've also seen, and tasted, some absolutely beautiful homemade cakes!!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Everything will usually start via email to get the basic information, I like to then meet up for a coffee or a drink and have a good chat and get to know each other. I like to make sure I have met all of my couples at least twice so on the wedding day they're more relaxed. I think it's vital to get on with a couple on a personal level as this will really reflect in the photographs and will help the atmosphere on the wedding day.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Every wedding I do is totally different and each couple ends up with a shot which is totally 'them'. Sometimes they don't even realise it at the time. I do love playing with shadows and have a few little tricks up my sleeve to bring a little bit of something special.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

It's not very often I get asked for a specific photograph but there has been a 'stag do' photo which was pretty memorable. All of the stags had old army figures which they had to recreate whenever anyone shouts "ATTENTION" they had to get into that pose. No one told me this until they were throwing themselves on the floor!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Don't be afraid of it. I love photographing in the rain, this is why I always pack umbrellas and wellies!

Describe how you got into photography.

My grandpa had an old Instamatic 33 when I was a little that I was fascinated with. He left this to me in his will when he passed away when I was 9 and since then I've always had a camera in my hand and a viewfinder in front of my eye.
