Take the stress out of your wedding day by booking Catherine Cliffe as your Make-up Artist. Catherine has worked on lots of weddings and understands the importance of looking and feeling your best on your special day. Catherine is based in Ashby De La Zouch and is available to travel to your location or venue for your makeup trial and your wedding day makeup. Areas covered are East and West Midlands; Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Birmingham and Leicester. Catherine has experience of all skin tones from the very fairest to Asian and Black skin. She has an extensive kit, which includes premium brands including Mac, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass and Becca. Catherine will apply the makeup using long lasting makeup and methods so it lasts throughout the day and of course many years to come on your beautiful wedding photographs. Catherine looks forward to hearing from you.

Excellent wedding MUA!
Catherine did my wedding makeup and it was beautiful. She is an absolute perfectionist, which is exactly what a bride needs! She listened to everything I asked for and executed it perfectly. Her brands are high quality and it shows, not only did my makeup last all day and evening, but it looked lovely. She helped make my day the incredible day it was :-)

Beautiful bridal make-up!
Catherine did my wedding make-up for me a couple of weeks ago. I was a complete nervous wreck in the morning (I couldn't even drink my glass of Bucks Fizz) but she made me feel completely at ease chatting and distracting me. It was like having another close friend there with me! And not only did she do a wonderful job calming me down she made me look absolutely beautiful! Her make-up skills are second to none, I don't wear much make-up but she made me look completely natural. She very professionally and efficiently made up me, my two bridesmaids and my mum and everyone was very pleased with the results. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Catherine and I have already told her I will be contacting her to do my make-up the next time I have a special occasion! Thank you Catherine so much! xx

Simply the best!
When I got married for the first time as a mature bride I asked Catherine to do my makeup as she has plenty of experience under her belt as a make-up artist, image consultant, and personal shopper. I looked through her portfolio and saw that every one of her brides looked amazing and elated - precisely as a bride should on their wedding day. I had a trial first to see what sort of colours and shades I was looking for. I wanted her to achieve a balance between looking fabulous whilst retaining my natural look. Catherine did an amazing job and was very helpful in choosing my make-up for my big day. The key was balancing premium products with professional application to achieve natural long lasting results for my special day. The trial was so successful I knew I didn’t have to worry. On the day of my wedding, Catherine concentrated her artistry creating a truly personal look for me making me feel gorgeous on the most wonderful day of my life. She was very professional and such a wonderful lady who made me feel completely at ease and relaxed on the morning of my wedding. Absolutely wonderful
I would recommend Catherine to anyone. She is such a lovely, kind hearted person and she is so talented at applying make up and advising on different fashions. I first met Catherine when I booked a photo shoot for my fiancé’s wedding present. I was so nervousbut she put me completely at ease. She is really chatty, interesting and easy going. Catherine’s make up was so fantastic that the photographer said she wouldn’t need to airbrush the photos! (And my face could do with a lot of air brushing normally!) I was so impressed that I booked Catherine to do my wedding make up. She made me feel so special and beautiful on my wedding day, I can’t thank her enough. She also did a wondeful job on my mum’s makeup. My mum didn’t normally wear make up but Catherine gave her a subtle and fresh look which mum was delighted with. I had a lovely make up trial at Catherine’s beautiful house and she made me a delicious lunch. I also recommend Catherine to my friend Sarah and she was really impressed with her wedding make up. Catherine even came clothes stopping with me and gave me more confidence in swapping my jeans for more flattering outfits. I now feel much better about picking clothes that suit me. Everyone should have a Catherine in their lives!

Bridal make up and make up training

What is your most memorable wedding?

All weddings are Special and it is lovely to be part of that special day. The first traditional Indian Wedding I did the makeup for was an amazing experience, I was welcomed with my husband as one of the guests, it was fascinating and the food was fabulous! (Though you don't normally go or expect to go to the wedding!)

The lovely feedback received from brides makes the job such a pleasure.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Keep organised, keep calm, allow extra time for planning, it always comes together in the end.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

This is a hard one, too many to choose from, I do love anything floral so always love to see the flowers.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

The process involves getting to know the bride and bridal party to create the look which fits in with them and their special occasion. It's all about them.

What do you love most about your job?

Its lovely to meet people and be part of their special day enjoying the fun and addiction of makeup and the build up and excitement to the big day.

What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?

Look after your skin, good makeup follows a good skincare regime. Always take the time to cleanse and moisturise, use an eye cream or gel, your skin will thank you and your makeup will look fabulous.

How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?

It is all about keeping the bride chilled and enjoying the preparations, so lots of pampering, keeping organised and helping out with any last minute requirements are a must!

What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?

Enjoy your day and make the most of every minute, a smile is the best Wedding Day accessory any bride can wear. Have your lipstick or lip gloss with you in case you require a top up and a pressed powder to keep any unwanted shine at bay.
