Hi! I’m Gail Gardner and I’m here to make you look absolutely breath taking on your wedding day and to help make your wedding morning run as smooth and stress free as possible. I have been working as a Professional Hair and Makeup Artist for 16 years. I trained at Wella Hair Studios in London, alongside the world acclaimed Patrick Cameron. He gave me the confidence to be adventurous with hair and that is exactly what I like to do ensuring you have the perfect hairstyle for your wedding day. I also trained as a Professional Makeup Artist in London alongside some of the most famous makeup artists focussing on Weddings and photoshoots. You will often find me at Masterclasses, keeping up to date with the latest trends. I am calm, work quietly, professionally and will help eliminate any stress from your morning by making sure you have ample time to get ready so you can enjoy a glass of champagne with your wedding party before you take your vows. I will only carry out one wedding per day so you won’t find me rushing off anywhere. Don’t be surprised to find me helping you into your wedding dress or snapping away with my camera to help capture memorable moments if your photographer isn’t around. I am also happy to carry out ‘Bride only’ weddings. Also, please enquire about discounts for bridal parties getting married between the months of January to March.

Amazing day & an amazing stylist
I hired Gail to do the hair and makeup for myself, 2 bridesmaids, flower girl & mother of the bride. I’m so glad I did, we looked fantastic and got so many comments. My style lasted well into the early hours even with all the dancing! You couldn’t go wrong booking Gail for your wedding.

Best day of my life
Gail from the start was amazing. I had one hair trail went home and wasn’t sure. Emailed Gail the next day to see if I coukd have another and it was no problem. On my wedding day Gail was there bright and early and got straight to doing mine and my three bridesmaids. She made us all feel so at ease during the morning and nothing was to much for her. I can’t recommend her enough !

You won’t be disappointed!
Gail is just simply amazing! Not only is she a fabulous hairdresser, she’s passionate, kind and really thorough. I had my trial done with Gail a couple of months before my big day, I explained to her that I like a certain style. Even though she knew I didn’t want curls she still tried a few styles out ‘just in case.’ This to me showed me how thorough she was. In her professionalism she’s clearly had experience with brides who say they like something one way but in actual fact they’ve like the opposite once it’s been tried out. This clearly demonstrated that. After trying out curls I still wasn’t feeling it so she straightened all my hair to get the perfect look for me. Nothing was too much trouble and she certainly made a lot of time for me that evening. I ended up with something some may say is ‘boring’ for bridal hair, however it was me and I’ve always said less can be more. Gail’s attention to detail is equisite and I will always call on Gail for anymore up dos in the future. The wedding day itself Gail was a trooper. Gail had four bridesmaids, two flower girls and my hair to do. She truly is fantastic!

Amazing Wedding hair
Gail was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made sure everyone got the hairstyle they wanted and made me feel extra special like any bride should. I loved my hair and it stayed all day and night. We were all so happy with Gail she is a truly talented lady. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Gail did my hair as well as my three bridesmaids for my wedding in October. Myself and one bridesmaid had a trial a month before the big day which I would recommend as this meant that we could be 100% sure how we wanted our hair. As soon as we met Gail she made us feel comfortable and at ease, she is such a lovely lady. On the wedding day she did an amazing job, I had a baby 9 months before and was worried about the hair that was growing back but she ensured this wasn’t an issue. Our hair looked perfect all day; it was a very windy day and we spent a lot of time outside for pictures. I highly recommend Gail.

Amazing hair stylist
Gail did my hair and make up for my wedding on 24 March. I cannot recommend Gail enough. I had a hair and make up trial and Gail tried loads of different styles and did not let me leave until I was 100% happy with my hair and make up (I was there over 3 hours!). Throughout my wedding day I received so many compliments on my hair and make up. My sister was my bridesmaid and did not have a trial. But Gail was able to create an amazing hairstyle for her on the morning of my wedding as well as creating the make up look she wanted too. My sister has thick hair and previous hair stylists said they were not able to do anything other than straighten it. Gail stayed whilst I was getting ready and also took some amazing photos of my hair and make up too, as well as photos of me, my mum and my bridesmaid that our photographer failed to capture. My sister knocked her hair style out of place as she was getting changed - Gail calmly redid this at the last minute to make sure it was again perfect. Gail is a true professional and perfectionist. I cant thank her enough for all her help on my special day xxx

Amazing wedding hair
Gail did an incredible job on my hair for my wedding - I had no idea my hair could ever look that good! I had quite a specific idea of what I wanted in mind, and Gail listened, offered suggestions and kept checking I was happy with what she was doing. Everything went perfect, the trial, the hair styling the morning of the wedding, and the hair lasted all night and looked just as good at 2 oclock as it did at 11am! All in all, very happy and very pleased I chose Gail to do my wedding hair!

Couldn't have asked for more!
My previous make up and hair person cancelled on just 6weeks before my wedding, and I managed to find Gail who kindly squeezed me into her tight schedule I was nervous about my trial meeting as I wasn't sure what I wanted, but I was very worried about looking too "made up" but Gail was very patient with me and we arrived at something that both me and my parents were happy with (this is a rare thing!) On the day Gail made the very nervous me feel very at ease and even did a wonderful job on my mum and bridesmaid! Couldn't have asked for more!

Absolutely Amazing
We got married last May and Gail was so amazing she did the most beautiful hairstyles for myself and my bridesmaids along with my make-up, nothing was too much to ask from her and she even helped me get into my dress, she was a wonderful asset to have on the morning of my wedding. What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable wedding was when a bride, on the morning of her wedding, advised me she no longer wanted to marry her fiancé.

I am most proud to have won the award for Wedding Hairstylist of the Year, competing against the finest in the industry.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book your suppliers very early!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

When the groom stood up before the meal, and told everyone, that whoever birthday was next on their table, got to take home the centrepiece. Everyone immediately got introduced to each other and pretended it was their birthday that day. Great idea for an ice breaker.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

A bride secures my services with a booking form, arranges a trial. At the trial we ensure to find the perfect look for the bride. On the wedding day, I turn up and make everyone beautiful.

What do you love most about your job?

Everything.

What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?

Grow your hair, keep it in good condition and look after your skin from the moment you get engaged.

How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?

By showing the bride I have confidence in my work on the day and I have control of the timings so she won't be late. Her family and friends also will help to keep her calm, just by being around her.

What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?

Your hair and makeup should still be looking perfect, but do touch your lipstick up every now and then.
