In 2015, due to a huge increase in demand, I went on to found the Lauren Wheeler Pro Team - bringing together a team of equally talented and kind-hearted souls to be able to better serve more brides that wanted to feel naturally beautiful on their wedding day. My signature style is soft and romantic beachy waves, paired with effortlessly natural makeup for that timeless and soft style. I have brides coming from all across the UK, as well Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Turkey & France for my signature styles. My studio is based in my Oxfordshire countryside home where you'll be invited to come and relax and try out your desired hair and makeup looks. I am incredibly laid back, and you'll quite often meet me wearing little to no makeup, sipping on a herbal tea with a fragranced candle burning away. I have been very fortunate enough to be able to now call myself a multi award winning hair and makeup artist due to helping to make my brides feel the best they possibly can on their wedding day and being recognised throughout the industry for that. My work is regularly featured on wedding blogs and in wedding magazines such as Rock My Wedding, Love My Dress, Festival Brides, Whimsical Wonderland Weddings + Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding Magazine from both real weddings and styled photoshoots. I've also had the amazing opportunity to work with a few brands outside of weddings including AX Paris, Jimmy Choo & Bicester Village with my working featuring on E4 + ITV2.

I would never let anyone else do my makeup!
Lauren did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I was absolutely over the moon with it. I was nervous about having my makeup done as I have some skin issues that I am self-conscious about, but Lauren made me feel absolutely perfect - she was understanding and patient (we had multiple trials) and I simply couldn't imagine anyone better. I have never liked photographs of myself more, and this is down to Lauren and her work. I looked natural, but like a better version of myself which is exactly what I was after and I felt comfortable and beautiful all day. Lauren has done my hair and makeup again since, and again I had the same experience - she is a real pleasure to be around and I always receive compliments when Lauren has done my hair and makeup. I had different looks each time, natural for my wedding day, and a more dramatic look for the second event, and each time they were perfect. Lauren is great at understanding what clients are after and delivering. It really can't be underestimated how much it can change the way you feel when you are comfortable and confident in the way you look. Lauren is a superstar. I would (and do) recommend to everyone.

Lauren made me feel like a million dollars!
I knew from the beginning that I wanted one person to do both my hair and make up for my wedding. What I didn’t realise was that this was a difficult task! I found so many people where I liked one or the other until I found Lauren on Instagram. I loved her style and booked straight away. I don’t wear a lot of make up day to day and had heard several horror stories from friends trials where make up was caked on and told it was needed for the photos. Lauren and I were chatting away as soon as I walked through the door. I loved that she wanted to get to know me, my style and the style of the wedding before we even started on hair and make up. She was very flexible in the trial and I was really happy with the results. THEN came the wedding day, I can honestly say I have never felt so beautiful. The make up stayed in place all day and I absolutely loved my hair. I wish you could help me get ready more often! We hadn’t discussed the bridesmaids hair & make up too much in advance but I showed a few photos the morning of the wedding and Lauren & her assistant did a brilliant job of bringing it to life. Thanks so much girls!

The best day!
Lauren and her team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. My bridesmaids and I had such a great time with them on the morning of my wedding. She created the perfect atmosphere to keep us all chilled while had our hair and make up done which was great. And we absolutely loved the results!

Amazing team!

Simply beautiful make up and beautiful person
Lauren is a wonderful make up artist, she did the most incredible job doing my make up for my wedding day as well as my mums, 4 bridesmaids and flower girl. She was so calm and listened to every question, even when changing my final look between my trial and the day itself. She is such a wonderful person to have around you and makes you feel that extra bit more special. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect addition to an already perfect day.

Amazing hair and make-up for my wedding!
Lauren and her team did hair and make-up for me, 5 bridesmaids, and my Mum and did a fabulous job! I did a pre-wedding trial with Lauren and she immediately understood what I wanted. The make-up was very natural and lasted for the whole day. I liked it so much that I asked Lauren which products she used so I could use them for other events. Thanks again to Lauren and her team for doing such an amazing job!

Lauren is a true professional who makes you feel so at ease. She travelled to Portugal for my best friends wedding and did the brides, mine and another bridesmaids hair and make up also. From start to finish she make us feel so relaxed and laughed along with us. Our hair and make up stayed all day and when I emailed her to ask what products she used she replied with all the links. Perfect choice for hair and makeup artist
Hi lauren, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for coming all the way to Portugal to do hair and makeup for myself and my three bridesmaids last week. Do not book Lauren's 'professional' team member Sam!
I used one of Lauren's 'professional team' members Sam and was devastated. She took 3 hours to do one hairstyle in my trial that ended up being a completely different hairstyle and was falling out whilst she was there! It was not secure in the slightest. It was extremely messy and considering she chose to do something different to what I had asked it didn't suit me. When I raised this with her she pushed for what she had done instead of what I wanted. There was no consultation from her at all. When I approached Lauren to tell her about my experience she didn't apologise, offer any refund or seek to ensure that her team was providing the best service. I have had my hair done many times and know it is not always possible to get exactly what you want but this was massively unprofessional and me and my friends were shocked that I had received such an unprofessional hairstyle. I don't like giving negative feedback but I don't want any bride to experience this!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Always ensure you make your wedding 'yours'. I spend a lot of time with brides and have a lot of 'we wish we'd done this instead of this'. Just remember that everyone is there to celebrate your love, they are going to enjoy themselves no matter what you do to decorate and entertain, so ensure you really put your stamp on it.

What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?

Really look after your skin. There is no better canvas than hydrated, well looked after skin. Makeup can do a lot of things, but it looks so much more seamless and natural when it's not having to be used to cover and conceal. Drink plenty of water, and really invest in a good skincare routine that is suitable for you.

What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?

Always have a pressed powder and your chosen lipstick/gloss on hand to top up with throughout the day. You can ensure your lips stay kissable right through until the night, and a translucent powder with slight mattifying properties will keep you looking fresh and dewy instead of shiny.
