It's really important to me that you look and feel comfortable in your hair and makeup for your wedding, and that you still feel like yourself. It’s important that you look radient, not only in person, but on camera and film too if you’re using a videographer. I love taking inspiration from elements of your wedding plans to tailor your hair and makeup to you, and the over all feel of your wedding. I also love working with Airbrush Makeup, as it really has the most beautiful finish in person and on camera, and the coverage can be kept nice and light, or built up without looking heavy. Your trial is not only a fantastic opportunity to create your bespoke hair and makeup look for your wedding day, and to see what products work best for your skin and hair, but also for us to get to know each other! It can be really nerve wracking meeting people for the first time on your wedding day, so having the opportunity for us to get to know each other before hand allows for things to flow much more smoothly on the day. It is also a great opportunity to ask me any questions and to have a good look at what I carry in my kit! My kit is constantly evolving, which is one of the reasons I advise having your trial no more than 3 months before your big day, ideally between 6-8 weeks beforehand. In the lead up to the wedding, I will work with you to create a schedule to make sure that you and your bridal party are all ready in plenty of time to allow for some touch ups, help you with your veil and any other accessories, and make sure I have packed away by the time your transport arrives! Should you then wish for me to stay for touch ups for your photos, I can bring a touch up kit with me, alternatively I can provide you with a mini touch up kit.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I love tailoring my service to each bride. No two services are the same as I take in to consideration the brides unique personality, and aspects of the wedding, as well as each brides individual facial structure and colouring

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Please be transparent with all of your suppliers! If you or your partner have organised any last minute surprises that might impact our services or timings, we need to know!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I recently did a wedding where the bride incorporated spitfires in her bouquet to remember her brother

Describe your typical process with a couple.

So the first step is for you to get in touch with me. The more information you can provide me with the better! Once I have all the information I need I will get back to you with a detailed quote breakdown. In the run up to the trial I like to have a few images of what you might have in mind for your hair and makeup, or for your wedding overall (I love a Pinterest board!) so that at your trial we can start with a more natural look and build up very slowly to what you want so we can really make it your own look to suit you and your features! We would then also discuss timings for your big day! On the day I will arrive in plenty of time to set up in order to start doing your makeup on time to have you ready at least an hour before you need to leave, or earlier if you would like!

What do you love most about your job?

I love getting to be part of someones experience. To be asked to be a part of someones wedding in any capacity is such an honour!

What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?

Drink plenty of water! This is the single best thing you can do for your skin and your hair

How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?

It is so important to have a trial! By having a trial, not only does it allow us to create your wedding day hair and makeup, and refine any details, it allows us to get to know each other. It allows things to run much more smoothly on the wedding day. I insist upon trials for every bride, and will only take on a wedding without a trial in exceptional circumstances, such as where the bride is getting married fro over seas.

What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?

Ask one of your bridesmaids to carry blotting powder and lipstick and a mini makeup setting/refreshing spray so you can make any touchups throughout the day/evening. I also offer a touch up package so you and your bridal party can stay picture perfect all day!
