Every wedding is memorable to me, I never take for granted the trust my couples put in me to deliver as part of their special day. It always means so much to me to be able to contribute in such a big way.
Alternative, unique, eccentric, bold, inspired.
I am very proud of my three Cake International awards and my 5* reviews across yell.com, google and my Facebook page.
Be yourselves! Decide what you want and don’t be swayed by the opinions of others. It is YOUR day so do it YOUR way!
Mini pumpkins with hand painted gold numbers on for tables at a wedding breakfast, the wedding was the week before Halloween.
Initially I put together a rough quote based on their guest numbers, venue location and any design ideas they may have. Once they decide they want to proceed I book them in for a consultation where we iron out the design and details over a few slices of cake and a cup of tea or coffee. If they’re happy after their consultation then I take a £50 save the date fee which secures their order. In the run up to the wedding I’m available at any time for questions or design alterations. The final balance is paid up to four weeks before the wedding. The day before the wedding I will contact the couple to triple check all the details and wish them luck for the big day. On the wedding day itself I deliver the cake to the venue and set it up. Once the cake is set up and ready I get the venue to confirm it has been successfully delivered and set up and take photos of it completed. I also send a message to the couple with a final wish of good luck. The following day I send a message of congratulations to the couple.
My speciality is geeky and comic based cakes so I have done designs based on the Avengers, Batman and Game Of Thrones. Any design where I’m able to incorporate elements which represent characters is awesome. I also love adding texture to my cakes.
I created a unicorn themed design for a bride and groom earlier this year, their two daughters love Unicorns and they wanted something that also fitted with their colour scheme.
I had been making birthday cakes for years and started my business in March 2016. By January 2017 I’d had a few wedding cake inquiries and I realised that most cake designers are happy to make elegant and traditional or classical looking wedding cakes but less eager to make the alternative and more out there designs! I was regularly making cakes themed around Star Wars and super heroes and figured there were couples out there who wanted those styles and designs for their wedding cake but couldn’t actually find a cake company enthusiastic enough to make it or truly understand the characters depicted. As a super geek myself I understand the characters and storylines which gives me a natural affinity with my clients and their vision for their Cake is so much easier to see when you know what they’re talking about.
My most recent wedding cake design!
