We were having difficulties choosing a simple but classic cake to fit our budget. Kristina was happy to discuss options and emailed examples to us for our feedback. At no point did we feel pressured to make a decision. She personally set up the cake in our reception room at our chosen hotel and it fitted our theme perfectly. Kristina made a fabulous job of our wedding cake, not only is she a professional, but she also has a gift. We were so happy we chose her to do our cake this year, every cake was a different flavour, and iced superbly.

Our wedding cake was simply AMAZING! My husband and I really wanted a chandelier wedding cake and after scouring online and being told “no we don’t do that”, “not worth the risk” or “don’t you want traditional” we finally found Kristina at Penn Wedding Cakes. We were amazed to find that she not only had the kit to do a chandelier wedding cake but had done it before. Kristina was so professional at our telephone conversation and really lifted my spirits when I thought our dream of having a chandelier wedding cake wouldn’t happen. My husband and I only had one cake consultation before Kristina but we were immediately impressed with not how amazing her cakes were but the passion she shows for cake making and wedding cakes. We were sold and knew she was the only person we wanted to make our wedding cake! We incorporated what we wanted such as flowers into suggestions from Kristina to make our dream cake. The lemon drizzle is still the best lemon drizzle we have ever had and the icing was to die for. Our guests loved everything about our cake and we still have people remarking about it and how unusual it is. There are not enough words to explain how much we loved our cake! Kristina, thank you!

Kristina was very amenable from our first consultation to our wedding day. She understood our needs and created a bespoke cake with delicious flavours (our favourite was lime with coconut icing yum). There was not a moment where I worried about the cake. It was delivered discreetly and on time and looked perfect. She even gave me tips to help preserve the top tier fruit cake. I would recommend to anyone.

Gorgeous cake, just as we had hoped for, perfectly fitting with our colour scheme. Delicious to eat, 4 tiers of different flavours, topped off with a gluten free layer! Would highly recommend.

We went to visit Kristina with some ideas and pictures of the type of cake and colour scheme we were looking for, Kristina completely understood our vision and assured us she could create it. We sampled some delicious flavours and decided on a coffee and salted caramel tier and a lime and coconut tier. On the day, seeing our cake being set up made we want to cry with happiness! I couldn’t get over how beautiful and perfect it was - the cake was simply stunning! Kristina then spent time placing delicate sugar flowers in the perfect places. We had so many compliments on our cake from the guests - they loved how moist and flavoursome it was and the unusual flavours went down a treat as well. We were very happy to have some left over to eat the next day while opening our cards. We can’t thank Kristina enough for creating our dream wedding cake, it was elegant and classic and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kristina to anyone looking for a special occasion cake!
