Book all the main suppliers well in advance. You don't have to make final decisions with your supplier until nearer the time of your wedding but you can relax knowing that the date is saved for you. Have fun !!!

I aim to make the process of choosing your wedding cake as enjoyable as possible. After initial contact I offer a wedding consultation if that is convenient for you. Some couples due to other commitments prefer not to have a consultation, I am flexible and aim to fit in with your schedule. I love to design a cake with you taking inspiration from other elements of your wedding such as the dress and flowers. Anything can be used for inspiration for instance the architecture of your wedding venue or a favourite place or a love of yours such as the ballet. While we are chatting I make a sketch interpreting our ideas. I want your cake to reflect you, your life and wedding, to be be truly personal to you. I provide samples of wedding cake sponges in various flavours for you to try. Once we have decided on design I can provide a price. Should you wish to go ahead with your booking I ask for a deposit to save the date.

I made a cake recently that was based on a Lladro sculpture that the couple had bought together. The cake was beautiful and unique and was topped with a hand modelled sugar intertwined couple. It reflected the personalities of the bride and groom beautifully.

I have always made cakes and my mother and father had a bakery many years ago. My mother was an amazing cake decorator and I have been inspired by her. I was working in the NHS front line. I loved my work but was missing being creative so decided to create cakes and leave my NHS role.

That's a tricky one because you only get a few hours and my cakes can take several weeks to create. I think I would make a really colourful tiered cake and hope it stood up long enough for the judges to have a slice and see the finished effect!!!!
