My daughter's wedding, her Wedding cake was shaped and coloured to look like wedges of cheese with two little rats on top dressed like the Bride and Groom. She keeps fancy rats and so it was very personal to her and her groom.

I offer a Free consultation for couples in a relaxed environment where we can discuss flower requirements, see the various flowers and Bouquet types and what will suit their particular style etc. Quite often I find that during this process the couple/bride to be will change their idea as to the type of bouquet and even flowers that they would like, after seeing and holding various types of bouquets. A recent customer was looking for a rose bouquet, but she saw beautiful Gerbera roses which are her favourite flowers for a number of reasons. I suggested that we use Gerberas in her bouquet and she was thrilled. Generally I will mock up a bouquet so the bride to be can see how it will look which is really appreciated. I find consultations generally takes up to two hours, to cover all requirements.

I had to design a sea themed bouquet which had to incorporate roses and large lilies. In addition to the flowers, wired in crystals and organza fabric and tulle, I added a diamante sea horse and starfish to a bespoke bouquet to compliment the Bride's jewellery and Wedding dress which she was designing herself. It was beautiful, the bride was over the moon and still regularly comments on my FB page where I show my work.

I think each couple have flowers that are special to them in a personal way. I love it when I am asked if I can include certain flowers, these have included white roses, Stargazer lilies, Carnations, yellow Roses, Gerbera daisies and more. Traditionally roses are the most popular flowers for weddings and continue to be so.

That's a hard question because I don't think any one flower is the most romantic, different flowers mean different things to couples and that's what makes my work interesting, being able to design something individual and meaningful for each couple.

As I work exclusively with artificial flowers, foam or silk, they can be kept as a beautiful reminder of a couple's Wedding day and looked after properly they can last a long time. Some couples like to put the bridal bouquet on the grave of a loved one, or I create a smaller version for this purpose.
