What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding has something special but one of the most memorable was Amy and Heather's. They asked me to transfer their pretty standard hotel wedding into a flower garden. My team and I cut 800 stems of flowers from the local flower farm which we reserved exclusively for the wedding. We filled the ceremony space with greenery arches, swaying grasses, churns and vintage watering cans filled with colourful flowers. It was an amazing sight and made my clients so happy.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Decide on the five things that are most important to your wedding day. It will help you to prioritise the many competing demands for your budget.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A pork pie wedding cake ordered by the groom as a surprise for the bride.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Initial consultation call to discuss date, venue, style, colour palette and requirements. I then create an initial mood board and quotation. If you like what you see, then a reservation fee secures the date in my diary. I will then arrange a site visit to get to know your venue if its not one I work at regularly. We'll meet for a detailed consultation and I'll develop the final set of designs and flower choices. A quick call 5 days to go to confirm all the details and then we're good to go.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
A Wimbledon Tennis badge for a bride in memory of her late uncle who was an umpire.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
We always include a scented flower in the bouquet, often it's a scented stock which has the flower meaning of 'lasting beauty and happy life'.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
Peonies - for a short but oh so glorious season, these full soft blooms steal the show - and they smell amazing too.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Untie the ribbon, snip a centimetre off the stems and pop into a vase of cold clean water. Why not press a few blooms too in a heavy book to keep as a memento?
