I want to tell your story through flowers. To me, wedding flowers are so much more than just table centres and buttonholes. I love to transform spaces with flowers and foliage " Bring the outside in!" is my favourite moto. The styling should reflect your personalities, the vibe you'd like to create on your wedding day, the venue and the season. We consider all these elements when we deign your flowers, we choose the best the season has to offer and source the best flowers and foliage. I prefer to work with British grown where possible, it minimises the carbon footprint and works best for the organic and natural style we do so well - the ' Just grown there look'. My work is very much lead by my heart, being part of someone's wedding is a big deal to me and I take huge pride in offering truly bespoke and personal service.

Hello, My name is Zuzana and I am the founder of Fig & Flower, floral studio based in Sussex providing wedding floral design all over the South East of England. I'm originally from the lovely city of Prague and I feel the continental link gives my designs a special edge but saying that, I love the English garden look and as I have been living in the UK for over 18 years, I'm pretty much anglicised :) My style is natural, whimsical and full of movement but I'm not confined to any boundaries.

I had already made the decision that I was going...

I had already made the decision that I was going to actually do all the flowers for my wedding myself because as I looked around, no supplier was catching my eye or making me feel excited about my flowers. Any suppliers I did speak to just seemed to not understand what I was going for with my look. It just seemed to be too different"

Zuzana was absolutely brilliant. She took my vague ideas of what I wanted and created unbelievable bouquets, head dresses, button holes and venue decoration. It was just stunning and Zuzana is a pleasure to work with.

Working with Zuzana was absolutely wonderful, from the moment we met we knew she would be able to not only bring our vision to life, but make it even more incredible than we could have imagined. Our flowers were breathtaking, the room smelled incredible and everyone commented on how magical the arrangements were - it felt like we were in a beautiful English garden. the bridal bouquets were exquisite, the flowers felt like they were tumbling down, which is exactly what i wanted. It was perfect!

Zuzana was amazing...

Zuzana was amazing, really took time to listen to our needs and this allowed her to be creative as she really 'got us'. My husband and I travel a lot with work so not always in during the normal 9-5 hours but Zuzana would alsways be willing for an evening call to discuss any ideas or feedback, which for us was totally going that extra mile. She was present herself on the day which showed her passion. Our flowers on the day looked fabulous with the utter highest attention to detail.

Fig tree flowers, just an incredible service! I met with Zuzana and felt like I had known her for years- she understood my ideas and plans and her creativity and passion for her job made mine come to life. Elegance, class & vintage styling. The whole experience was made so easy- Zuzana made my wedding day run so smoothly- my flowers were delivered on the morning of our wedding and she then went to the venue to dress it- and it looked perfect. I would recommend fig tree flowers to everyone

Zuzana's advice was invaluable for our day, our initial thoughts and plan had to be shelved when the colour schemes changed and Zuzana was fantastic at not only accommodating that change but advising on complimentary colour schemes and making the most fabulous flowers that truly made our day. Zuzana's vision was like nothing I had ever...

Zuzana's vision was like nothing I had ever seen through all my research on florists. Her style was unique and utterly breath taking.She listened to everything we wanted and added her own twist making my flowers and table decorations into a stand out feature of the day. The flowers used were beautifully hand plicked and lasted for a couple of weeks after the event. I had my bouquet dried so I could remember it for always.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Think about which elements of your wedding mean the most to you, concentrate on those - if you get overwhelmed with the choices and options - bring it back to you and prioritise.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

One of my lovely Brides has made 100's of woolly pom-poms they have been the running theme through out the whole styling. The gifts for the suppliers were hand knitted hats, so cool!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After an enquiry, I send out a welcome brochure full of useful information and also a questionnaire - we can also arrange a personal consolation. If this is not possible, I can create a bespoke proposal based on the information you provide in the questionnaire. Once, you have booked the date with me, we plan a venue visit and work on finalising al the details through out the time before the wedding.
