It was in London less than 1 year ago: I was hired to play for just 60 minutes and I finally played for 3 hours! The guests were enjoying it, the atmosphere was so special. And the reason we finished was that the venue had to close. Live guitar music is not just a backgroud sound, it joins people together, it offers everyone an experience and emotions...
Passionate, expressive, emotional, melodic, virtuoso,
That I love doing it. It is my passion: I love composing and performing music, it is my gift. I love people enjoyining it.
Enjoy the day. Do not forget we are there to celebrate love, your love. Above all this ''organizing the perfect day'', please do not to forget it is your day, so enjoy it. Celebrate it.
When I have been asked to create a tune for the couple. It has happened many times, and they use it later for many things: videos, etc. It is just for them. A piece of mjusic I compose after talking to them and listening to them and learing something from them. Inspired by them, their love, their experiences, a unique piece of music is the result.
I asked them what they expect from me, first from an artistic point of view. We then decide any specific moments they want me to play: sometimes it is during the ceremony itself, sometimes it is while the guests are entering, sometimes after they kiss, sometimes just the cocktail or banquet afterwards, sometimes while someone reads or says something, sometimes all the time! And then I need to know all the technical specifications. I normally go one day before the ceremony to see the venue and arrange everything with the venue manager or wedding planner: I do not want surprises on that day.
A special moment occurs when the tune has a deep, special meaning for the couple.
My music is mostly to listen. But sometimes people have danced as well. Normally it is rumba.
Either an orchestra conducted by Beethoven himself, or a duo with a flamenco guitarist like Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar or Serranito.
The music I compose. Although I love flamenco and classical music, and I love traditional/folk music from many countries, I love jazz, and I have played with other flamenco and with classical, jazz and ethnic musicians, because music is my life, my music is my life. I have found my sound and my personality in music: that is my success.
