A wedding I did at the Lansdown Club, Mayfair, London back in 2003. I arrived very early, and after setting-up I and a few wedding guests took a walk to Green Park, we all sat and watched Terry Wogan introduce various famous acts on the Radio 2 stage. Then at night I played tunes from those acts. Fabulous wedding with amazing guests.
I chat and encourage a little at the start. As the dance floor fills, I mix the music and play requests. After all nobody wants DJ chatter when the dance floor is bouncing.
I love playing requests from client playlists. Playlists provide the musical direction which I carefully into genres, beats per minute, and energy. As I play the set, I constantly juggle the songs by the dancefloor reaction.
Involving your guests in the music planning. Your guests out on the dancefloor is what will create the atmosphere, and they will only dance to the songs they know and love.

When the couple are circled by their family and friends.
I play from request lists, and every celebration is different, what fills the floor at one wedding, won't fill the floor at the next.
