Strings and Reeds

We formed the Band in 1986 and have been playing and enjoying country dance music ever since We normally comprise three musicians and a caller: Brian Campbell Button Accordion with midi Bass Clare Campbell Fiddle, and Electronic Wind Synth Phil Croft Piano Accordion Mike Tissington Caller and vocals We play mainly Scottish, Irish and English music for dancing. We play Reels , Jigs, Hornpipes and Polkas. We are happy to include Ballroom requests- Walzes, Foxtrots and Quicksteps. We do singing spots and musical in - betweens to help you get your breath back. We are happy to play background music to complement your event. We can tailor the evening to include a mixture of the above and you can specify as much or as little dancing as you wish. In a typical evening we normally provide music and entertainment for about 3 hours
