Exceptional talent and a great person
Andy has gone above and beyond to make our wedding day special. He was such a pleasure to work with and we absolutely love our photos. During the day, Andy was very creative with the shoots, professional and made us feel at ease despite a chaotic day. He somehow managed to beautifully capture every emotion, love and joy of the day and we simply couldn't be happier with the quality of the final photos! We also had a blast during our engagement session with our pet. It was super fun and useful to get comfortable with each other as well as see a sample of Andy's work before the big day.

The best photographer out there!
From the very first moment we met we know Andrew (AW Photographic) was the one! I’d had contacted a few photographers prior to our meeting with Andy and not one asked about us as a couple or wanted to meet up with us. I first heard about Aw photographic when a friend shared a link on Facebook, I looked through some photos and I was wowed and couldn’t wait to show Mark my now husband them! Once I had shown Mark we contacted Andy who was very quick in responding and invited us to meet him. When meeting Andy he showed us some of his work but it wasn’t all about him, he really wanted to know about us as people and as a couple. We knew instantly he was the one and only photographer for our day! I am not a person that enjoys having my photo taken but Andy put all of my worries away at our engagement shoot, he made us both feel comfortable and the pictures where outstanding! Now to the main event, our wedding August 2018. I had chosen a church 50minutes away from the reception venue which was also when I would be getting ready for the most amazing day of my life. The travelling wasn’t an issue for Andy and he didn’t charge any extra. Andy arrived early at our wedding venue to capture the bridal prep and photos of our reception setup, he then took the 50 minute journey to the village pub where the grooms party where prior to attending the church. Andy got some beautiful shots in the church and then back at our reception after the group photos he just fit into the background and captured some really special moments for us. We have had nothing but praise him from our guests, one of our friends have even booked for their wedding. Our photos are amazing and we couldn’t recommend AW Photographic enough!

Brilliant photographer
From start to finish Andrew made us feel totally at ease and comfortable. We wanted someone that had an artist eye, and that’s exactly what we got. Andrew went above and beyond to get the perfect picture. And was really patient with us and our little boy as he has special needs. Nothing was too much. We are in love with our wedding photos and we have only seen our sneak pecks. We can’t wait to get our wedding album.

The best day of my entire life

We first saw Andrews work at a wedding fair and new he was the photographer for us , the first meet he made us feel so relaxed and you could tell how enthusiastic and passionate he was about his work , kept in contact from start to finish making sure he got to know our personalities which were then portrayed in our wonderful engagement and wedding day pictures . We couldn't of asked for more .

Capturing the best party EVER!
When we were planning a party to celebrate our commitment to each other (miss-the-wedding-get straight-onto-the-party party!) we knew we needed a photographer who understood what we were doing and how we wanted to capture an evening that would be so special to us. After meeting Andrew for a chat - and after he had had the chance to mull over our ideas over on his drive home and come to the conclusion 'hell yeah, what a great idea!' - we knew we had found the perfect photographer. He was willing to think a little out of the box and understood our reluctance for 'traditional' photos. On the night he was everywhere and nowhere, capturing great photos whilst not being intrusive. So many of our guests commented on how great he was, mingling with people and making them smile. When our initial group shot looked like it wouldn't work he was quick with suggestions for an alternative. He made sure to get great photos of all those details we had worked so hard on and made the time to make sure we got those 'romantic' shots we had initially been so reluctant to do without making us feel uncomfortable. He felt like one of the party and we were delighted with the resulting photos - with the surprise of receiving four images the following day with could immediately share with friends and family. Having heard how long some friends waiting for their wedding photos this was a huge bonus! Great photographer you can trust to capture your special event with style, an eye to detail and a smile.

Our Happily Ever After
What an amazing guy!! Not only was Andrew friendly and down to earth, he fitted in with our wedding party perfectly :-) Our photos make us cry every time we look at them, they are fantastic and captured such emotion! Andrew has such a skill and took some amazing shots. He was professional and knew exactly what made a good shot but he was also very open to ideas and suggestions :-) Can't recommend highly enough!

Well where do I start booked Andrew for our august wedding. Good contact with Andrew before during and after the wedding. He is so energetic and full of different ideas for photos for thouse of us who don't want the same old wedding photos. Would recommend him to anyone top bloke.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After the initial enquiry I usually set up a meeting to chat and get to know the couple and chat about the day, then I let the couple chat in private and if they want to book then a deposit is taken and contract signing is required. The couple have the option to have a pre wedding shoot included, this gives them the chance to get to know me better and my style and get some great shots and tips on posing... I have another meeting with the couple about a month before the wedding to go over everything again and then wedding day..... woo hoo............

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

That one photo that can printed large and put up in the house and visitors will be wowed by. I want to see the connection between the couple, not a posed photo with cheesy smiles but still a amazing moment between two people in love. A photo that could be on a movie poster. You're all dressed up, the set is ready now lights, camera, action!!!!!!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Usually I'm the one coming up with the crazy ideas, although I was once asked to photograph one of the groomsmen who had lost a bet and had to wear a thong for the whole wedding day.. I'll leave that image in your head, suffice to say I don't use that photograph in any of my portfolio's.....

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Just enjoy it.. Don't let it ruin your day.. I carry brollies and am super prepared for any eventuality... Theres always an option, we just need to make an alternative awesomeness!!

Describe how you got into photography.

I fell in love with photography at art college back in the film days and went to Uni to study more.. Loved it so much I worked on cruise ships as a photographer for 3 years and then eventually settled down and haven't looked back since.. I love what photography does for people.. The memories and emotions you can invoke with a simple picture... amazing...
