My most memorable wedding with this summer. I had the pleasure of photographing a beautifully intimate wedding for a couple called Chris & Sarah. They had their reception at the newly refurbished West Bridgford Registry office which is a beautiful Georgian Building set in the lovely Bridgford park. Sarah & Chris chose to have their reception in their back garden in a village just outside Nottingham. Not only did they design and create a wonderful setting for their guests the whole day had a closeness and warmth to it.
Creative, Fun, Relaxed, Original and Dedicated.
I'm proud that I can work every day knowing I'm doing what I love.
Planning can be as enjoyable as the day itself. It maybe a cliche but it's not about the destination, it's about the journey.
The entire reception being held in the Couple's back garden!
After our initial conversation, I'll officially book you in and send across the info/contracts/deposit info etc. Then we set a date to have our pre-wedding consultation at your venue. This is where we go through all the details of the day and ask each other all the important questions. In the months running up the wedding I like to keep in touch to make everything is running smoothly and to add any ideas you have to my shot-list.
I don't think there is just one! Having said that, there is an "oh wow, we just got married moment" i like to try and capture that happens some time after the ceremony when everything has calmed a little.
So tradition states the Bride & Groom can't see each other before the wedding. I did a shot recently where the bride was on one side of the Bridal suite door and the Groom was on the other. They couldn't see each other but they held hands and it was beautiful.
Umbrellas, and an open mind!
Both my parents were keen photographers when I was a kid and when I got to choose the next step after secondary school I choose to study photography. Fast forward 15 odd years through University, travelling, various clients and eclectic jobs and here I am still holding a camera.
