A little background information. I spent 4 fun-packed years as a photography student, oh how I miss those student days! Lol I've been a full-time professional photographer for 25 years and run our successful photography business with my wife Sara for 15 of those years! Most of our couples find us via the Internet just like you! :-) Some Brides discover us through a Google Search or book us because we've been recommended to them by friends. Our initial meeting will usually be in a local hotel close to my home. Not that I don't have a lovely house, I do but I also have a young Daughter who likes to play with her LEGO! :-) Believe me you wouldn't want to stand on a LEGO piece it hurts! At the initial meeting I like to show couples recent weddings on my iPad and a few of our beautiful sample Wedding Story Books so you get a real feel for the quality of our Wedding Photography! A deposit of £250 secures your wedding date in our diary together with a signed contract. Brides usually book us 1-2 years in advance of their big day, booking early is essential especially for peek Wedding Season dates! Most of our Bride's love our Engagement Photo Shoots! They offer the perfect opportunity to get to know one another and for me to show you just how efficiently I capture the two of you. I prefer to take natural and relaxed photographs that will hopefully make you smile. A Signing Frame is a great way to display one of your Engagement Shoot images! Your Wedding Guests will love leaving a congratulatory short message on the wide photo mount. Around a month before your Wedding we'll usually arrange to meet at your wonderful Wedding Venue to chat about your Wedding Plans. I like to have a wander around the gardens to discuss your Wedding Photography and listen to any ideas you might have. I like to be organised and have a plan, this helps your day run smoothly and most importantly to time! I'm often asked if I work for the Wedding Venue because I work closely with the Venue.

Family, Friends and Four Legs

We set about planning an intimate friendly family wedding but everyone was so delighted to see us married after seventeen years as a couple it turned into quite a party including our two gorgeous labradors. Initially we were not even sure about having a photographer but the way David melded into the occasion and captured our wonderful memories with stunning images was fabulous and meant we can relive them as often as we like.

The very best wedding photographer

We had a small intimate wedding. After speaking with other photographers we found that David had a complete understanding of our needs. He tailor made a package to fit our requirements. We enjoyed meeting him before the big day and knew right away we had picked the perfect photographer. On the day he made us feel both comfortable and confident which was quite an achievement as we don't like too much fuss! He guided us through the proceedings, entertained our guests, ensuring each moment was captured to perfection. We are absolutely delighted with the photographs which captured the mood of our small intimate wedding perfectly. David was professional, friendly, creative, understanding, helpful and a joy to work with! He is passionate about his job and this is reflected in the excellent photographs we have to look back on. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a truly outstanding wedding photographer.

From the moment we first spoke to David he we was easy to get on with and always very professional. The engagement shoot, which we thought was unnecessary, turned out to be so much fun, gave us time to bond with David and for him to get an understanding of exactly what we wanted from the day. On the day itself, David was non intrusive and completely blended in with our wedding guests, all of whom commented on how fabulous he was! Then the pictures, wow! They speak for themselves!

What can I say, I can't thank David and his wife Sara enough. The moment we met, and even more so when we got our engagement shoot photos, I knew I'd made the right choice. There are wedding photographers then there is David, a true professional but at the same time makes you feel like you've known him all your life! Appearing at our door with a bottle of Prosecco to look through our wedding photos just sums him up, now I have memories to cherish forever thanks to David. If I could give you 10 stars I would. What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable Wedding has to be one with 11 Bridesmaids and 3 dogs which made the day very interesting! The Venue had the most beautiful grounds and the weather was so good that the Wedding Ceremony was outdoors.

I'm most proud to have been a full-time professional photographer for over 28 years!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Your Wedding Day will flash by! My number 1 Wedding Tip is to leave enough time to enjoy it. Plan a relaxed Wedding day with plenty of time for you and your Wedding Guests to make the most of it!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

This is easy, my favourite personal touch has to be the Groom that sent a DVD of the couples photographic moments from when they first met up to the Wedding to the Brides Parents house. There were a lot of tears from the Bride and Bridesmaids whilst they sat and watched it!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After our initial meeting, depending on the collection ordered we may have an Engagement Photo Shoot. Next around a month before your Wedding we meet at your Wedding Venue to discuss your Wedding Plans and ideas. On your Wedding Day I capture the story of your Wedding through the lens of my camera. Usually we will post produce your Wedding Photographs within a week of your Wedding! This means that you may be able to view your Wedding images whilst on honeymoon! :-)

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The number 1 Wedding Photograph every couple should have is one that captures the essence of the day.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

The most original Wedding Photograph I've been asked to take has to be a double heart shape formed by all the Wedding Guests which I captured from above.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Rainy day Weddings can be a nightmare for Wedding Photographers. I always have a “Plan B” but I recommend Brides choose a venue with a great interior just incase the Wedding Photographs have to be captured indoors.

Describe how you got into photography.

I became interested in photography from a very early age when a family friend gave me my first camera together with free film processing and printing which helped me hone my skills as a photographer!
