Having our wedding photographed professionally, so that we would have a record of our memories to keep forever, was something that really mattered to us. It’s the photographs that will help us remember everything about the day in the years to come. After choosing the venue, this was probably what we felt was the next most important decision to make. When we started looking, a friend from work recommended Erika to us, so we got in touch with her to make an appointment for a chat. We’re both not the type to pose for the camera, and neither really are any of our friends and family. Whilst we liked the idea of capturing some group shots of family and best friends with us on our wedding day (when else is everyone all together?), we really prefer photos that show people naturally, having fun. We also had quite a large number of children coming to our wedding, which was another reason to look for someone who was good at taking natural/spontaneous photos. When we met Erika we both liked her straight away – she’s a really nice person, no airs and graces, just genuine and relaxed. When you’re looking for someone to photograph all the important parts of your big day it needs to be someone you can feel relaxed with – it would be no good having someone you’re not very comfortable with photographing you on your wedding day! Erika showed us some of the work she’s done before and chatted about where we were getting married, what our plans were, and what we wanted in terms of photographs. We felt like she really listened to what was important to us, and could tell she cares about what she does. On the day itself Erika was a star. She helped guide us with different bits and bobs, like how to cut the cake (not as easy as it seems when it’s 3 tiers and everyone’s taking photos!). She even found some sparklers for us as she’d had an idea for some photos of the two of us, outside with the fairy lights behind us. Several of our guests have commented since the wedding that they really liked her. She had the photos edited and ready before we’d even come back from honeymoon – phenomenally fast! Once we’d got back we had a look at them all and they’re really lovely! The usb stick which she put them all on is really nice to keep as well – wooden in a beautiful wooden presentation box. We’d definitely recommend Erika to anyone looking for someone to capture their wedding day. Not only will you have beautiful photos to remember your day by, but you’ll meet a lovely person!

I can honestly say the best thing to do for your wedding photography is to hire Erika. We had both an engagement and wedding shoot and Erika really knows her stuff and we have amazing pictures and memories of our big day. Erika was great to work with and really knows how to get the best out of the venue and the people. Extremely professional from start to finish and the final images are stunning, cant recommend here enough. Hire her for your wedding and you will not be disappointed.

Erika shot my wedding and she did it with grace and style. It's only one day and it's pretty special but you don't get much left over after a week. Erika made sure our memories were cemented in stunning shots, touched up like you wouldn't believe, in personalised and well thought out albums that will never date. She listens to what you want and delivers just that but she'll certainly, very gently, talk you out of ridiculous mistakes that you'll regret later. The wisdom she brings to her work is phenomenal and, boy! Does she care about doing a good job! No matter what package you go for, the service and product you get will be worth more than you'll pay. Her personality will bring out the best in your guests and she's like a bride whisperer for calming your jitters. In short Erika made our wedding and we will never in our lifetimes be able to thank her enough. Why are you still reading this? Message her already!

Erika is a wonderful wedding photographer - she is lovely and friendly and was brilliant on the day at advising us without being intrusive. Her photographs capture our day perfectly and she has recorded little moments that we might have otherwise missed. Erika is a great photographer because not only is she technically good with a great eye, but she listens to what you want, what you would like to achieve and she wants you to enjoy the process. Erika photographed my wedding and it was one of the best bits of our wedding experience. Before the wedding I always felt that I didn’t photograph well; I dreaded being in front of a camera which made me awkward and uncomfortable and it showed. At our first meeting she was kind and funny and the camera was nowhere to be seen. She put us at ease with her relaxed and charming manner and spent her time getting to know us. When we did the engagement shoot, she assuaged my nerves by making it fun. She was prepared to be different and use her technical skill to play with long exposures so we could make some fun, absolutely unconventional pictures. What we got back was so brilliant, and so very unique to us, that I couldn’t wait to do the wedding pictures. By our wedding day, our photographer was our friend. Knowing she was ‘on my side’ made me relaxed and comfortable enough to open up and trust her. Her photojournalist style meant I didn’t have to stand in a line up with a rictus grin hating every minute. She caught every careful detail of our day. Little things that would otherwise have been forgotten. To look though our wedding album now is to relive our special day. To remember the silly thing that made me laugh, or the way my new husband looked at me as he made his vows. There are also the clever shots, the beautiful quirky ones that are my favourite. What we got were beautiful, treasured pictures that fill the walls of our home with happy memories. Thank you Erika.

We have been lucky enough to work with Erika previously, before the wedding our Bride was so positive about the 'amazing photographer' she had booked and was so excited for the wedding photos. When we met Erika on the wedding day she was very friendly and was continually helping the bride and bridesmaids as well as taking lots of photos. She was unobtrusive and didn't interfere. After the wedding our Bride sent us lots of the stunning shots Erika had taken. When I contacted Erika she was very complimentary of our work and was more than happy for me to use the images. We would reccomend Erika to any Bride or Groom looking for a photographer, the photos from the wedding are stunning and have been used in Your North East Weddig Magazine and online as a real wedding feature.

Erika was my friends wedding photographer a few years ago and as bridesmaid I was in lots of photos. I hate having my photo taken but Erika was sleek and professional and so dam good her relaxed attitude to the posed photos made it easier to be photographed. She also did a great job of capturing people without you noticing resulting in some amazing photos that capture people’s reactions to different parts of the day.
