Warm, friendly and totally reassuring

We honestly couldn't have had a better person to be such an important part of our wedding, and beforehand we didn't appreciate that a photographer really is an intrinsic part. Jonathan was warm, friendly and totally reassuring; he became part of the family, perfectly capturing the love & laughter of the day. The pictures are gorgeous; I'll never forget sitting down with Andy with a glass of bubbles in hand, as per J's instructions, watching the slideshow with suddenly wet faces. Our wedding day.

The most incredible documentary of our day

Jonathan provided us with the most incredible documentary of our day. We cannot stop looking through the photos and smiling from ear to ear. The photos are simply stunning; so natural and completely capture the feel of our relaxed country wedding. Fantastic through out the entire process

Jonathan was friendly, professional and made us feel at ease. He was fantastic through out the entire process and the photos he produced are both moving and beautiful. He really captured what we wanted, took all of our ideas on board and gave us exactly what we wanted. He blended in seamlessly on the day and took warm and natural pictures that really captured the emotion and energy of the day. He also paid attention to the little details that made the day special. We could not have wished for a better photographer

We could not have wished for a better photographer for our day. Jonathan was able to capture every special moment we could want and more. His attention to detail is second to none and looking through the images he captured enabled us to relive the day and also see those little moments we missed. A a fantastic photographer

Jonathan is a fantastic photographer, who took the time to get to know us before the day and what shots were vital. The techniques he used have given us beautiful photographs and memories that will last a lifetime. Nothing is too much trouble for Jonathan and he was with us from the crack of dawn until 11pm in the evening, to ensure we have the best photos of the whole day. Jonathan deserves every bit of recognition he receives, he's amazing.

Just outstanding

When we said goodbye to Jonathan at the reception late at night, he headed for the door after an incredibly long, hot day. A large merry group headed for the dance floor and Jonathan ran back into it, camera in hand smiling. Professional and extremely hard working

We were so pleased with the stunning quality of Jonathan's photography. His warm, intimate, documentary style was precisely what we wanted. He captured all those moments we could not have anticipated, not just the traditional set-piece photographs which define the industry, allowing us to relive our special day like flies on the wall. He was omnipresent but never intrusive. Jonathan is professional and extremely hard working, but at the same time warm and friendly with a great sense of humour.

Fabulous gent and would not hesitate to recommend

From the moment we first found Jonathan and looked at his work, we crossed our fingers and our toes that he was available! Fortunately he was and after a bit of a chat, we booked him straight away. We had an hour long convo on Skype to discuss our requirements but mainly just had a laugh and talked about all sorts. The day was amazing, so fun and relaxed and the photos are stunning! Always supportive and available if we had any Q's. Fabulous gent and would not hesitate to recommend him!

Jonathan Coates was by far the best decision we made when planning our wedding. He was exactly what we were looking for natural shots with beautiful and stylish editing! What we hadn't expected to get (but were so fortunate to find) was someone we really wanted to have at our wedding, so funny and great with our guests!
