James really was a joy to have around at the wedding. He has a great personallity and is great at catching all the important moments of our day

We asked James for a relaxed approach to our wedding...

We asked James for a relaxed approach to our wedding photographs and we got gorgeous images. Half the time we didn't even realise James was shooting. The images he has produced are perfect! He caught us laughing, shedding a tear at the church alter... all of these emotions which we look fondly upon but which couldn't have been captured in stages photographs. The lighting is suberb. He was a lovely friendly guy too which always helps. We are very pleased with he photgraphs.

James was a very friendly guy,wanted to know what we had planned for our big day, what sort of people we wete to understand what kind of wedding we were having and what we wanted out of your day. He took pictures of each of us getting ready,and shot the day how it went on. We loved the pictures of us together,they were the best.

The photos we received from James were outstanding...

The photos we received from James were outstanding. We were really able to relive the day through them, they completely told the story. The presentation is something very important to me, from the albums James showed us when we first met to little things like the memory stick with our photos were pure class. James made me in particular feel very comfortable at our pre shoot and on the day. I couldn't recommend James more highly for creativity, professionalism and just understanding what you want

I am not photogenic at all so the pre wedding...

I am not photogenic at all so the pre wedding shoot with James was a blessing. He actually took us to the place we got engaged. He made me and partner feel at ease straight away. I was worried that people could be funny as we are a lesbians. He made use both laugh and took away any pressure. On the day he did his style but also accommodated request that we both had. I honestly didn't see him for much of the day and was worried there wouldn't be many pics, I was wrong and they were amazing!!

James' style of photography is what caught our eye, his photos were simply stunning and that's exactly what we wanted and got at our wedding. James made us feel so comfortable right from where we met him at a local coffee shop to discuss our ideas to almost 2 years later meeting again for our pre shoot and finally our big day where he was in the background not been pushy yet delivering what are the most perfect photos of our day. We're so grateful and would recommend James to any future couples

When we initially met James we felt completely ease. James understood from the onset how we wanted our photographs to be . James was fantastic throughout the day and evening. We looked at James'work...

We looked at James' work and compared it to that of countless others within our budget (£1,000 - £2,000). We loved his work and thought he was very talented. We asked to meet with him and he was lovely, friendly and informative. Nothing was too much trouble and he really listened to what we wanted. This really set him apart for us. During the wedding, he was very professional. We could not have asked for more. He put everybody at ease and it felt like having an old friend photograph our wedding!

James came highly recommended and he didn't disappoint. He knew exactly what we wanted and his style suited us perfectly. He captured the most important moments without us even knowing he was there and we got some fantastic natural photos. Even when he did some directed shots he made it easy to relax and enjoy it. We were so pleased with the end product and we can't stop smiling when we look at them. He did about amazing job and I will definitely be recommending him to others.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Shooting a secret wedding in Central Park in New York. I love NYC and it was a dream come true to be flown out there to shoot a wedding and then spend the day around Manhattan in all the iconic locations.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, relexed, modern, documentary, reportage.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Shooting over 200 weddings in just over 4 years.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Do it your own way. Ignore the traditional rules and plan a day that you would want to be a guest at.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Meet via Skype/Facetime, chat about the wedding and how I work. All booking is online, meet to chat about the wedding a week before then shoot the big day. Edit the images and return them within 4-6 weeks.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Anything with real emotion.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A shot inside Grand Central Terminal in NYC that captured the buzz of the city around the couple.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Don't worry about it, get some brollies and a change of footwear. We can make amazing images in the rain.

Describe how you got into photography.

At design college I did a couple of modules on photography, remained interested and then bought myself a DSLR in 2010. Quickly realised shooting at weddings was fun and it snowballed from there.
