Oh gosh, there are so many that stand and for all different reasons... the ones with a bit of a backstory, the ones with such a long build up, the ones with pretty much no build, the ones where the love and emotion just shone through every minute of the day
Relaxed, friendly, cheeky, fun,
Such hard questions, there is so much I am proud of... making brides cry (with happiness) when they see their pictures
Make sure all your suppliers know what you want, make sure you are relaxed with them, expect things to go wrong/ be late... and most of all, #1 tip for couples.... enjoy your day! And a bonus for brides.... make sure your shoes are comfortable and you can walk in them!
I love weddings between different nationalities when they both bring a bit of their culture to the day
OK, typically there is no typical! Every couple, every wedding is different. But the coomin strands are to get to know my couple, find out just what they are looking for, help them with their planning to make sure we get what they want, hold their hand, take control when needed, and smile with a tear in my eye when I edit their images
Enjoy it and let it be part of the story of your day!
I was nagged by someone who saw one of my very early exhibitions. Only two of the 40 or so pictures featured people and both were naked, draped on trees in the New Forest. But nonetheless Jo nagged and nagged and nagged until I said yes and I photographed her wedding to Adam at Highcliffe Castle on June 5th 2001 and much to my surprise I really enjoyed myself. A massive turning point in my life which led to me become a full time photographer on June 21st 2005.
