I like to make photographs that will hold lasting meaning for people, so I work closely with each couple to create a collection of images which reflects the love, style and attention to detail that they have put into their wedding. I want couples to enjoy the whole experience of being photographed on their wedding day, so my relaxed, unposed style helps put them at ease and brings a natural, authentic quality to their photographs. Seeing each wedding with fresh eyes is important, because I want the personality of the couple to come through in the images I make for them. On a wedding day I look for the real life moments that make people feel something special when they see them. It’s not just the key events of the day that I’m looking for, it’s the in-between moments that can be so powerful. Whether it’s the look between a daughter and her father before they walk up the aisle, or the funny little dance of a flower girl during the solemn blessing at the alter, it’s these unexpected elements of a story that I love to include in my work.
