A wedding that still makes me smile. A good friend and fellow wedding photographer (who is also my second photographer at some of the weddings I shoot) asked me to shoot his wedding - the poor chap couldn't stop welling up with tears of joy during the ceremony!
Fun, relaxed, informal, candid-reportage, unobtrusive
Our flexibility. Speak to me about what you want; we can do it and have a blast along the way!
Involve your photographer in your wedding day timeline. We know when the light will be best for your photos; it would be a shame to miss it...
A little bit niche this one; the whole reception venue festooned in bunting; Bunting was the bride's maiden name!
I like to get to know my couples. Whether that is over a drink or two, a coffee, an engagement shot or just by email or FaceTime it doesn't really matter. I want to know what makes you both tick. Knowing me will make you more comfortable in front of the camera too.
The couples' portraits. These are the pictures that you'll look back on in the future and the grand kids will be amazed that once upon a time you were both young and beautiful!
A shot of the couple running towards me across the lawn looking terrified. I was to photoshop in an Imperial Walker (from Star Wars) after the event. It isn't in my portfolio because I don't like it!
Work out a rainy day spot in advance. Whether that is under the shelter of some trees or a more scenic spot within the venue or its outbuildings.
My dad gave me an old film camera (I still have it) when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I have loved it ever since.
