My photographic style can be described as contemporary, documentary or even reportage photography but to me.. it is what it is. My job is to take the best possible photographs dependant on what is happening, as it happens, anticipating the event without the need to dictate so as not to impact on your wedding. This always results in a happy and a genuine portrayal of your day.  I can do this quickly and imaginatively. I always encourage input from my clients, embracing any ideas which let their personalities shine through without the need to ask my clients to smile.

We would definitely recommend Gary
We hired Gary to be the photographer at our wedding. Initially Gary took the time to talk with us to discuss exactly what we wanted and ran us through the whole day which I thought was really good. The photos that Gary took of us and our guests were brilliant. Ourselves, friends and family really liked them, so much so my sister wanted to book Gary for her wedding but she organised it too late and he was already booked that day. Many of our guests that we spoke to after the wedding commented on what a nice guy he was, so we were really pleased. We would definitely recommend Gary - One Love Photography and already have done to people looking for a photographer.

We couldn't have wished for a better photographer for our wedding day; the photos really are the lasting memory
Gary was amazing from start to finish; he made us feel completely at ease and really listened to what we were after and told the story of our day. Seeing our photos was magical and Gary had captured every moment we had hoped he would and so many more!! We had so many lovely comments about him from a wide range of guests during the day, it genuinely felt as though he was one of the guests and just completely blended in with us all, making everyone feel relaxed and even managed to get my nephew laughing and smiling which is not easily done!! We couldn't have wished for a better photographer for our wedding day; the photos really are the lasting memory of the day and you have to place a huge amount of trust in the person providing those for you - for us that was so easy because we had Gary. We can't thank him enough!

Great guy who knows his craft well and we would recommend him every time.
We booked Gary to cover our Civil Partnership in August of this year. We didn't want many 'posed' memories of our day and asked Gary to capture the joy of the day instead. We had an absolutely amazing time and this is exactly what Gary has captured for us - even though we made it particularly hard for him when it came to the romantic shots of just us two! Gary is a lovely guy who blended in with our friends and family and put everyone at ease and we cant thank him enough. Great guy who knows his craft well and we would recommend him every time. Gary did our wedding photos back in August, he is such a down to earth, kind & helpful man, whose work is absolutely outstanding. We were recommended Gary by a friend who had recently used him, and he exceeded our expectations on both our pre wedding shoot & also our special day. The photographs he took told the entire story of our wedding, from preparation to the party at the end, and is captured in the most beautiful way. Describe your typical process with a couple.

After the initial enquiry a meeting face to face is a good start but Im used to my clients being from different parts of the country so thats dependant on location.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Every couple, wedding and family are so unique so there isn't any particular photo. This is where a pre wedding consultation is paramount for the photographer to get a feel for your day.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Get in the rain (only for a couple of minutes) to create a memorable image of the weather on your day.

Describe how you got into photography.

I was always the that guy who took the family photos which started me as a studio photographer. After my first wedding I realised how much I loved wedding photography and thats where I am now.
