Roger Dyson Photography Full Description

We have a wealth of experience much of it in commercial and advertising photography. We bring this versatility to your wedding to achieve the memorable images that you want from your special day but we combine this with a calm low key approach to ensure that we don't take over your day but rest assured we'll get those vital shots. We have covered everything from 500 guests to 5, from Greenwich Naval College to a cave in Cornwall, from winter to summer and because these days the seasons are so unpredictable we carry a wealth of lighting kit so that we get the shots no matter what the elements throw at us, we've worked in snow, rain and darkness and no matter what the venue we aim to encapsulate the atmosphere and give you an overview of the day.

What is your most memorable wedding?

A cave in Cornwall one New Years Eve followed by a Country House Reception.

Calm, professional, unrelenting, kind, organized.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Much of our work comes by word of mouth which I hope speaks volumes.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Planning is key for your wedding day and as far as photography is concerned take time to think of the shots that you really want, the unforeseen always occurs which is why its important to have experienced people on hand who can smooth things out for you and think on their feet.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We like to chat things over and get a few visuals so that we know we are on the same wavelength, then we produce a shot list and use that as a starting point for the day so that we don't miss anyone out.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

That's up to the couple and every wedding is different.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

When we recce the venue we find alternatives should the weather turn bad, lately these have been a band stand in a park or the wedding car lit with our high end flash but usually with us in the rain/snow!

Describe how you got into photography.

Photography was my hobby when I was 14 and I've been doing it professionally for over 30 years, its my full time profession.
