Russell & Emma at Robin hoods Bay, UK. Outdoor ceremony, beautiful sunny day, the coast and rugged cliffs as a backdrop. The couple walked down into the bay after ceremony for photographs and all the holiday makers were clapping them and wanting selfies with them! We managed to capture some beautiful photographs down by the sea before we headed back up that 'bloody hill' to the venue for the best fish & chips ever eaten at a wedding! Guest's were good fun, dancing into the early hours - a good old fashioned knees up as they say!
Contemporary, fun, relaxed, natural, real.
Capturing the unseen moments, the quiet moments that are unseen amongst the chaos of the day. Real story telling photos are simply the best.
Focus on you two and what you want - don't feel pressured to cater for everyone's taste and expectations. It's your wedding, do what you want - everything else is just a pantomime surrounding you.
During the Grooms speech, the groom gave his father-in-law a bottle of very old whiskey his deceased dad had been keeping to drink for a special occasion, he told him how much he thought of him and said his dad would have too. Tears flooded the room and I found it hard to hold back the tears, a lump in the throat moment!
Meet up to discuss the wedding day plans, see if I'm a good fit for the couple and if my style suits what they are after. From there, they book me if they wish - quite relaxed about it all; no need for drama!
It's a real pain to organise and not necessarily the most creative but the group shot as it documents everyone who attended and spent the big day with you. Priceless memory.
For everyone to stick two fingers up at me during the group shot!?
Umbrellas and lots of back lighting to capture the rainfall - looks amazing!!
I simply love making pictures. I fell in love with Art & Photography at college, studied it at Degree level - I'm lucky that I make a living from my passion!
