Our first! The nerves, the anticipation before, the people and from that point on, knowing we loved doing wedding photography.
Candid, contemporary, reportage, traditional and relaxed.
The fact we are both "photographers". That is as opposed to those who are just photoshop users. Photography is about being able to capture a moment in time: a memory to one or maybe to thousands. We both grew up using 35mm which gives us the experience on not just relying on the camera to do the work, but us having the skill, talent and experience.
As mentioned: choose the best wedding photographer you can afford. Getting a friend to do your wedding is a risk not worth taking. They may be able to take a cool pic on their smartphone on a beach, but do they know how to use a camera in low light or difficult situations. If you use your friend or a family member to try and save money you could lose more than your wedding photos. You could lose a friend.
For all couples we meet within a few weeks of the wedding for a pre-wedding shoot: maybe once, maybe more. We believe that us getting to know each other well before your wedding makes for such better photos on the day. We cover everything from the Bride and Groom getting ready to your first dance and all the little bits in between. We take a small deposit to secure your wedding and ask for the balance nearer your day.
Just the two of you together, immediately after your ceremony. Just you two, somewhere quiet, no one else around. No friends, no family, no children. Just you both enjoying a very special moment.
An owl delivering the rings.
To capture what we can. But if the weather is horrendous then we always offer to meet the bride and groom on a later date to do some outdoor photos. Because we are nice like that.
We both grew up using 35mm cameras. That meant having to spend all our pocket money on buying film and getting them developed. If we could only afford a 12 exposure film, then we made sure that we took 12 good photos. You couldn't take 100s and just delete the ones you didn't like.
