There have been so many! One that stands out is a wedding I photographed in Venice with just the bride, groom and myself. I also stood in as their witness!
Relaxed, story telling, documentary, emotive, professional
The number of thank you cards and emails I receive.
Relax and don't get stressed!
It's lovely when family members create/make things for the wedding, cakes, flowers and in one case the dress!
I like to get to know them with either a meeting in person or a chat on the phone at the time of booking, then I speak to them again about six weeks before the wedding day.
I think photographs during the ceremony have the most meaning, those little looks the couple give each other as they get married.
I don't work like that, I photograph what happens on the day.
Smile and carry on as usual, some of my best photographs have been on rainy day weddings!
I started off with a job in the darkroom at a newspaper before attending journalism college, I then worked as a newspaper photojournalist before being asked to photograph weddings for friends, I agreed so long as I could photograph them in an unposed style, fast forward to now and I have photographed over 1000 weddings!
