Spence Frederick Photography Full Description

My service includes 8 hours of coverage from the preparations until first dance as standard. Coverage can be increased or reduced as required. All packages include approx 600+ individually edited images of the day supplied on USB & within a private online gallery from which friends and family can order prints, portraits and albums. I include an engagement session in packages and we have this at Brockwell Park in Herne Hill, South London. I also include a photo book and offer a range of services including videography, photo studio and hand made Queensberry wedding albums.

Wow... I dont know what else to say other than WOW

Spence, Wow... I dont know what else to say other than WOW I was looking at them on the train going into work with tears in my eyes and a massive smile on my face! I think people thought me a tad odd! It is incredible to see everyone else in the pictures and see them smiling so much and having fun. It sounds crazy, but I was so constantly focussed on what I was doing that I didn't realise I didn't much 'see' everyone else. You've certainly captured something I didn't even know to ask you to capture - if that makes sense?! I'm able to relive the day through other people's eyes and it makes me so happy to see everyone enjoying themselves so much. Many thanks Lucy & Alex

My own

I would describe my work as Informal, ethereal, natural, fashion and stylish.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I've photographed over 400 weddings since 2004 and developed a style that is individual and has been a journey.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't be phased by it... it's an amazing, positive experience and should be enjoyed the whole time.. especially on the day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

individual photos of guests at their place setting. It makes guests feel like they're been thought of by the couple and are a part of the day.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Meet them twice prior to the day to ensure we've built a rapport come the wedding so that we can get natural, relaxed photographs.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

One of them together.... quite far away from their guests.... where they have time to walk back and absorb the moment.. We always make that happen so they get to step out of the bubble for the moment and take it in.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

One of a bride wearing her birthday suit....

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Not worrying about the weather. Outside / rain photos are amazing owing to the moody lighting / or incredible lighting post down pour. Providing you're ok with standing under an umbrella, you'll not regret it after the wedding and it's wonderful to have beautiful photographs together infront of your venue looking amazing!

Describe how you got into photography.

I originally wanted ot be a fine artists but when I discovered photography I knew it was for me. I studied for two years at college and then went to university to study an HND in photography and digital imaging. Then studied a further 2 years for a BA in photography which is where I developed my direction and style.
