The Studio Without Walls

I have been photographing weddings for more than twenty years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am told that I have an easy going approach to the weddings I photograph which, I like to think, helps everyone relax and enjoy the day. My photography is mainly documentary in style, natural, fun, sometimes a little quirky but I hope that it still looks timeless with a modern edge. Although I bring along an assortment of cameras and lighting my real love is to work discreetly with just one small camera and use natural light to catch expressions, details and memories. Couples really love these behind the scenes photos, the little moments which happened that they didn't see on the day. My fly on the wall documentary style works really well for most of the day but after the confetti and a mingle with the guests most couples like to do a few formal group photographs, I don't like to drag anyone around the venue for hours on end, just a few photos of the family and friends and perhaps later on a little time with the bride and groom for a few relaxed photos together, nothing too posed or too cheesy. I'm happy to travel anywhere in the UK or further afield so wherever you are planning to tie the knot it would be lovely to hear from you and to have a chat about your plans for your big day.....
