I'm a full time professional photographer. I've been in the image-making business since 1989, which is starting to sound like a very long time ago now. Making beautiful pictures is my job, my passion and my life. I'm also a commercial photographer and bring all the skills that I've honed in my fashion, lifestyle and landscape work to my wedding photography.

We have been blown away by Tommy's work

We recently hired Tommy to be our wedding photographer last weekend up in Ullswater. To say the weather wasn't great was an understatement, however, Tommy managed to capture some amazing shots on the Western Belle and then back at our reception which went late into the evening, Tommy also stayed to capture more memories of the firework display. My husband and I have been blown away by his work. His discreet presence allowed us to be ourselves without having to pose every two minutes. We felt very relaxed and would highly recommend Tommy Martin for any type of photography. Many thanks Tommy. X

Don't forget to allow yourself some time to enjoy the day, don't fill your day with so much that you spend the whole running to keep up with the schedule.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas! I live and work in the Lake District, I've shot a few rainy day weddings. As long as you've got enough umbrellas, there's nothing to stress about.
