A beautiful vineyard wedding in Kumeu, New Zealand. The Groom's son was his best man and the couple had been good friends for years before getting together. It was a wedding of pure joy!
Unobtrusive, beautiful, candid, emotive, memorable.
That I personally make a connection with every bride and groom I meet. I take on board and channel their hopes and dreams for their wedding and make it my driving purpose on the day, to capture with my photography everything they dreamed of. So they will be able to remember and cherish the day's memories for generations to come.
Choose vendors who listen to you!
A little (soft) drinks bar for the children!
Usually after first connecting on the phone, we will meet at their venue for their pre-wedding consultation and they will tell me all about the wedding day they have in their minds. After this we usually plan their engagement shoot where we get to know each other a little more and it gives them an opportunity to get used to me and my photography style, as well as giving them some lovely memories of this special engagement time.
A portrait of them on their own, away from everything, after the wedding. In the calm, peace which follows, where they are just so blissed up and utterly relaxed.
I did a Bridal party group shot where the Groom and Best man were carrying and running away with the bride, surrounded by the rest of the running bridal party. A lot more energy and fun to look back on that traditional standing groups.
A cheerful mindset and possibly some wellies and umbrellas! Rainy landscapes or photos in the rain can look beautifully dramatic and capture your day just as well.
My mum was a keen photographer and from this I grew a love of it. I studied photography at University and then became a Press Photographer. Working for newspapers and magazines for 15 years I have developed my own natural and beautiful style. Capturing natural moments and setting up beautiful portraits if and when needed.
