Fantastic, dream wedding venueFantastic, dream wedding venue
We chose Buxted Park for our wedding reception as we liked the beautiful building and grounds, and had heard positive recommendations from others. The staff were very helpful with all of the preparations before the big day, and on the day itself - wow, we were so impressed! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, and had the most fantastic day. The staff were so attentive, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was so delicious, and cooked to perfection - so many guests commented on how lovely the food was. Our toastmaster Marc was great, and was brilliant at getting everyone in the right place, and making the announcements. Everything ran so smoothly, and we had the most wonderful wedding day. Thank you so so much for all of your hard work organising our wedding! We had the best day ever and all of our family and friends were so impressed with how smoothly everything was run at the hotel. We were SO pleased that the sun came out and we were able to have the ceremony outside! Everyone thought the food was amazing, too! All of the staff on the day were absolutely fantastic, especially Lee who was so kind and helpful and really made the day run so smoothly. Buxted Park has always held a special place in our hearts, we have spent many a happy hour in the parkland, so when it came to visiting wedding venues Buxted Park quickly made it to the top of the list thanks to their excellent package at a reasonable price, the stunning venue and grounds and wonderful staff. Planning ran smoothly from start to finish with thanks to Holly. We very much enjoyed our menu tasting evening and found Buxted Park to have a far more extensive menu choice than any other venue we visited. Thank you to Lee, Marc and the whole team for all their help on the day in making sure it ran perfectly. A special mention to Marc who added extra sparkle as our Master of Ceremonies, along with us our guests absolutely loved him! We really felt in safe hands and were able to relax and enjoy our day to the full. We had the most wonderful time on Friday! The best day ever! Please pass on our thanks to all that were involved. Marc and lee were brilliant on the day, so helpful and kind! What an amazing dayWhat an amazing day
From start to finish our day was made out of this world by Marc Desseaux & his team & Holly the events coordinator , nothing was too much & they paid attention to every little detail that was requested. Right down to one guest having to have their food pureed due to illness. Our day was eventful as we had all Different nationalities attending, English, French , Portuguese, Italian, Spanish & Broad Scottish. Perfect WeddingPerfect Wedding
We got married at Buxted on 2 November 2018 and it could not have been more perfect. The day was absolutely wonderful in every way. Kirsty initially and then Holly, our Wedding Co-Ordinators were always on hand to deal with any query or request and they made the planning much less stressful. The team on the day run by Mark were absolutely fantastic. They worked so hard to ensure the day ran smoothly. Our guests especially loved Mark and his fab sense of humour. The food was delicious and all of our guests were taken care of. I stayed at Buxted the night before the wedding with 14 of our friends and family and we were kindly provided with use of the Red Room for a private dinner which was lovely. Me and my Bridesman were also upgraded to a Suite which was just fantastic and felt like such a treat. From London Leave M25 junction 6 towards A22 East Grinstead and Eastbourne. Follow the A22 until you reach the roundabout with the A26. Turn left at the roundabout to A26 Tunbridge Wells. Turn right at next roundabout to the A272 Heathfield. Take an immediate left still following the A272. At traffic lights, continue straight on and the hotel is 1 mile on your right. From Tunbridge Wells Take the A26 towards Uckfield and continue until the roundabout for A272 Heathfield. Take the first exit and immediately turn left towards Buxted. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We had a beautiful autumnal wedding back in November 2018. They really put a lot of effort into the theme including large autumnal tree themed centre pieces which looked really special. Rather than formal dining they opted for hearty sausage and mash for all of their guests to stick with the theme, which went down a treat! The evening finished with a spectacular fireworks display outside on the Coat of Arms Lawn where all guests had the option to create their own hot chocolate to bring outside ready for the display.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

My number one planning tip would be preparation, do as much in advance as you can to ensure you can enjoy the build up. From experience my wedding day went incredibly fast so I really appreciated the few days before. Whereas some couples make the mistake of leaving a lot until the last minute which really adds unnecessary stress.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

I had a Groom who was a tiler and a Bride who did calligraphy, their favours were individual tiles where the Bride had wrote each individual guests name and these acted as their favours and place names. It was such a nice personal touch and really linked directly to the couple.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

The Oriental Terrace. This terrace has breathtaking views over the Oriental lake.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Denise Lewis got married here at Buxted Park. We have also had many celebrity guests including Holly Willoughby, Dermot O'Leary and Brian May.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Our mini burgers are definitely my favourite!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

You can't beat some chocolate. Some of our wedding couple's do opt to add midnight snacks for their guests including cones of fish and chips and bacon baps - They are really popular.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our grounds set us apart from other venues. We have 312 acres including an ornamental pond and stunning lake. These areas are incredibly popular for couples to take their photos.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our staff. We have an incredibly experienced and dedicated team who really go over and above to ensure each couple has the perfect wedding day.
