Castle Goring is a romantic location for any wedding in any season. We can offer a selection of locations to celebrate and create those special memories. Whether it is the grandeur of the State Rooms, the magnificent Ceremonial Hall or on the South Lawns in a Marquee with Castle Goring as your back drop. The Ceremonial Hall is a beautiful oval room with grand double doors to the rear and smaller traditional entrance to the side. This room is licenced for ceremonies and can seat up to 100 guests. You can also seat 70 guests in a traditional seating style for a formal wedding breakfast. On the first floor within the main building sit 3 large interconnecting State Rooms, perfect for enjoying reception drinks and canapes. This space is also the location for the evening bar. The Castle Dining Room also on the first floor can seat 50 guests for a formal wedding breakfast and is the location for the evening entertainment. There are two further interconnecting rooms on the first floor, the Queen Victoria rooms which can be used as chill out rooms in the evening. Our stunning terrace is also licenced for ceremonies and offers the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. This is also another delightful space to enjoy your reception with guests spilling onto the lawns. The balcony and staircases which adorn the back of the Castle link directly back into the State Rooms so guests are free to explore the property. The marquee would be situated on the South Lawns of the Castle and would be the location for the formal meal for the day. The marquee has a fully clear wall to the front to allow guests to enjoy the elegant façade of the building as well as let in lots of natural light. The setting is very neutral with ivory lining and light carpet. The structure can accommodate up to 120 guests for dining

The Castle is nestled within the South Downs National Park in its own park of approximately 8 acres. This wonderful setting is perfect place for celebrating your special day with family and friends. I just photographed this amazing venue for the first time at the weekend ! It's both rustic but contemporary and an amazing space to photograph weddings. The day couldn't have been any more perfect. Everybody loved the castle and the food and service was superb. Some of our guests even managed to get a cheeky selfie with Lady C! Highly recommend this as a wedding venue - it looks spectacular, great team and you have exclusive use to shape the day specifically how you want it. Gary and I had our wedding at this beautiful venue last July. We had the most extraordinary day, and now it seems like a dream. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to change venues last minute and we’re so glad that we did. From the moment we visited the castle we knew it was the place for us. Everything we wished was catered for: picture perfect venue, space inside and out, disabled access, a piano, attentive and caring staff, wonderful food, plenty of toilet facilities and a truly memorable experience. I cannot praise this venue or the staff highly enough. As per normal challenges occurred during the wedding that can change the mood of the day, (such as the weather hindering the wedding breakfast service) we however were blissfully unaware due to the highly professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble for Sophie the venue manager, who made sure personal touches to the day were perfectly executed, and to top it all off Lady C and her son Dima were a pleasure to meet. If you are considering Castle Goring and reading through reviews my suggestion would be, don’t hesitate just book it. Having seen this beautiful venue completely come to life throughout its renovation; it was truly amazing to be the first to get married there! We had countless compliments from our guests about how ideal the Castle was for our big day. It really did feel like true luxury having the whole place to ourselves. The flexibility of the space was brilliant - we were able to pick which parts of our day happened where. The castle has some real wow features. We love the pictures we got on the wonderful staircase. Lady C was attentive from start to finish, and an all round lovely host. Sophie was the perfect wedding planner and made the day effortless. A huge thank you to you both, and all who worked hard on getting the renovations done in time! I'd highly recommend this beautiful Castle to anyone considering a venue for their special day. It certainly exceeded our expectations and helped make our day spectacular.
